I haven't been able to find any other information than this - but thought some of the business people here may want to check into it further:
"H.R.2961
Sponsor: Rep LaFalce, John J.(introduced 9/25/2001)
Latest Major Action: 9/25/2001 Referred to House committee
Title: To authorize the Administrator of the Small Business Administration to make loans under section 7(b)(2) of the Small Business Act to small business concerns and certain other business concerns that suffered substantial economic injury as a result of the terrorist attacks on the United States that occurred on September 11, 2001. "
As a side note - the tragedy is having a major effect on business even in Canada - the two sawmills in our town (major industry here) have shut down - they have no orders. Everyone who normally buys lumber from them has adopted a 'wait and see' approach, and all their projects are on hold.
