Did anyone see the meteor showers? It's overcast here - haven't been able to see a thing. Now there's fog rolling in above the river so it'll just get worse.

I got up at 0430 and put on my winter coat. Started coffee, then went out the front door. 4 at the same time. I hate the cold, but I was out till 0530 or so. Clear and cold here, so we got a good show. It was well worth getting up for. The big bright ones left a trail.

Our sky was ~ miraculously ~clear as could be...so I stayed up till after three so I could watch them. We are close to the city lights so the sky isn't dark enough to see as many as some people saw but it was still more than I have seen in my life before.
It was really cold out there and my neck hurts from looking up but it was worth it!

I saw them too, in Ga. It was clear and cool here, I sat out on the back deck with a little blanket around me for about 20 minutes. Would have stayed longer, but I'd brought the dog with me and she was barking up a storm, there was big rustling going on, must've been a deer or something back there.

BooHoo.
I wanted so badly to see it!
I was going to pack up the family and head out to my dad's farm, where there would be no city lights to deter the view.
I went outside to leave, and it was so foggy I couldn't even find my car 10 feet from the front door!
I used to live in the desert, and got too see a lot of meteor showers. They are just so neat to see.

I didn't go outside. There was a large, loud group of twenty-somethings having a party down the street. The party had spilled into the street by 2 a.m. and bottles were flying and crashing onto the sidewalk. I did have the pleasure of sweeping up quite a bit of broken glass this morning.
