Sure, if I still had your email address, I could have handled this quietly and discreetly. But where's the fun in that??

Nice timing AW - I had this ready to roll at midnight and someone pulled the plug on the MC. I just know you did it deliberately to piss me off - I'll be sure to return the favor...

Happy Birthday Ken!

Wishing you a wonderful day and many more happy years.

LOL sweetpotato, you're so right, handling it quietly and discreetly would be no fun at all.

Happy Birthday, krs! (1)

Feeling any effects yet? (2)

1. At least I got somebody's birthday on the right day.

Ken shares his December 14 birth date with Nostradamus (born 1503).

If you had been celebrating your 80th birthday Ken, I would have been very tempted to write the White House.

If a special recipient is celebrating an 80th birthday or beyond, they can receive a birthday card from the White House, personally signed by the President. Just drop a line to: The Greetings Office, The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C. 20500

Happy Birthday krs take an extra med to celebrate then pass them around.

Thanks for the belated antiquary and kraftdinner. Unlike Ken I sure hope it's not my last one.

I see you haven't answered enchanted's question.....what do you mean by this being your last one? Does anybody know what he's talking about?

From when I was a small child (5 or 6 maybe), my grandfather would tell us every year that it was his last birthday or his last Christmas. The old bastard lived until he was 92 but for more than 20 years we heard it.

Ken's just feeling old (and rightly so ). He just planning to torture us for the next 20 years with "Nothing to celebrate. This is the last one" type posts.

Either that or he needs an nap

Sounds like you and krs go back a long way sweetpotato. Maybe we should try to get him out of his "I'm old" slump and make him feel better about himself....

I'll start....

I've NEVER said this to any other guy on this board before, but you are very handsome krs. (Did that help?)

Just admired him from afar, kraftdinner. He has an element of evil that's awfully appealing, even in the elderly

Just pretend we're not here, Ken - I'm supposed to be working anyway

Whew! We had a big wind storm last night and were without phone service all day which also meant no internet! Finally I am able to slip in here and wish you a happy 87th birthday Ken.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRS!

I knew him. Drank with him. He and I had rooms in the same hotel for a while and you can find wisecracks about me in "Post Office". But you probably never got past his "Notes of a dirty old man", right?

Weird old fart made sense.

"I knew him."

Why does that not surprise me? You must've been fairly young. You're right, I've never read Post Office (but I did smile when I learned that the main character's name is Henry).
