I have two pieces of plastic that are bonded together with clear glue. What is the best way to get them apart?

Have you tried soaking them? A water-based glue like Elmers should dissolve or soften. What type of plastic is it?

What type of plastic is a good question as is what type of glue? Some glue can be removed with vinegar. Some can be removed with water and some can be removed with alcohol. And there is some that simply cannot be removed at all.

Well I talked to a few more people and have decided to leave it along and bust out the old dremel tool to get the job done. It is for a little car modification with the tailights. The back panel on my car looks like a tail light but it doesn't light up. So I'm making it light up and it will say Stealth in cutout letters. Anyone want to see some pics when I'm done?
