I had a cat named Buddy. He was a good pal. I gave him to my folks when I moved. He disappeared after a couple of days, though, maybe got et by a bobcat.

Too bad. Poor, poor Buddy. May he RIP.
Twinsoft, Maybe your Buddy ran away to find his way back to you and is still out there somewhere searching for you. Old, rickety, blind but still looking. Now, don't you feel bad you're not out there looking for him too?

I have 2 dogs. They don't run off chasing delivery men, they're trained. They are in a backyard that is open on the driveway to the street, they are never chained, and they do not leave the back yard.
Who didn't train Buddy, this seems to me to be a human's fault, not a dogs!

Very sad. He should have been leashed. As I remember, he didn't mind to well when he lived at the White House.
