Thanks - I found my dot ended up on exactly the same spot as Simon Hughes.
Economic Left/Right: -0.50
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -3.69
I was also surprised when a web search returned his phone number and e-mail address on the first page.

Is this our midterm or final?
The reading list includes Paine, J K Galbraith, Ralph Nader, Tariq Ali, George Monbiot, Titus Alexander, Naomi Klein, and Noam Chomsky . Hey, I'd better pick some up before they're banned. Especially Paine and Chomsky.
Thanks for the summer reading list.

I almost fell upon Ken Livingston -- whoever that is. I like their idea od a chart - makes more political sense than the straight-line method does.

I learned two things here. I am more to the left than I thought I was, according to this anyway. And the Guardian news site has many, many pop-up ads!
Economic Left/Right: -7.50
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -5.23
I am to the left and south of Ghandi. I like the company I am keeping!

-----
Ban on hunting with dogs -
Free vote on motion to ban hunting with dogs. Motion was carried.
----

Bet there was a motion to make all dogs vegetarians also.
Dogs hunting with men is probably older than prostitution if not fire.

Yup. The controlling of others, be it hunting dog, bird, deer, moose, mouse or woman is probably older than fire!
Usually agree with what you write, gravid!

I found some of the economic statements worded in a very simplistic/naive manner and may have responded differently to different wording.

Hi Irene!
I agree some of the questions were put in such a manner they were hard to answer with the choices given but look....you and I and Bunni are all the same in the Authoritarian/Libertarian catagory. Good company.
don't you worry about the birds Helen...the womenfolk will fetch them.

Actually the test made me feel like I was a rat in one of Pavlov's mazes
there were agree and disagree answers what If you did neither ? many of the questions were slanted from amodern geopolitical college professor mentality.
Only a hopeless idiot filled with platitudes and self righteousness would even have the stupidity to suggest that a woman who was raped should carry the genetic filth of this scumbag to term.
I hate to disappoint some of you but there are just as many hopeless Idiots in the Democratic party as there are in the Republican party. The only reason they are in office is because there are even more hopeless idiots out there to play with a voting machine.

I love that idea! Let us know when you list it on eBay. Maybe you could put something in the title to alert women. On the other hand,
they may be some males out there who would like to wear it to work!

Well, take this statement for example:
The freer the market, the freer the people.
In general I might agree... unless my country was surrounded by aggressive neighbors and free trade meant that my country was dependent on imports through those neighboring countries for food, oil and other essentials. In that situation, it would make sense to try to develop some self-sufficiency.

That would be interesting, Gravid. Right now, I feel like I am off the graph! LOL!
auroranorth,
The word "fetch" has a meaning related to hunting birds in the south. First, the bird dog points to the location of the quail in the field. When they fly the shooter kills the birds and then tells the dog to "fetch", meaning to retrieve the dead bird
As usual, your interpretation of the word is more colorful than mine.
