I think the World Trade Center should be rebuilt but it should be built much bigger and higher than it was before.

In February 2003, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation chose architect Daniel Libeskind's design for rebuilding the 16-acre site of the former World Trade Center. The design includes a hanging garden, a memorial, a cultural center, and is topped by a spiral tower reaching 1,776 feet tall, which will make it the tallest building in the world. Libeskind estimates it will cost 330 million dollars and take more than ten years to rebuild the site. This design is from a second set of plans shown to the public; the first group was critized for its overemphasis on office space.

I don't like it. I would prefer two similar towers but 50% bigger than it was.

The new design looks like the architects were afraid of future attacks and designed it to be a difficult target to destroy.

I think the architechs drew it with regard that there is a big difference between a symbol and creating rentable space. There are a lot of people in the NY area that are not going to want to work on the 102nd story of a landmark building anytime soon.

Thanks for the picture helen. I think the new design looks very good.

ebayauctionguy, the old towers were not really safe as we sadly found out, so I dont think people would want in large buildings like those again.
