this is all such #*!@, first nero, now libra, what is it with some people?
I started a thread for nero, because I thought she was getting 'picked on' and out of the blue, in a thread, where she replied to the subject, and then someone had to come right after her and 'attack' her.... I don't keep up with these threads, but I just read the last one with a trivia question by Libra. I am glad some don't act so juvenile.

Nearthesea, As amazing as it may seem, I've never referred to anyone here -- not even George Bush as a moron. I have called some statements or ideas stupid but not posters.
Why don't you get so upset when Twelvepole calls posters morons etc., etc., etc. and start a thread about it with a request for the recipients of those comments to send you an email?

Actually, NTS, Neroter was not being picked on at all. In fact, the opposite was true. She was disagreed with and that was all it took for her to start flaming away, hurling invective and making wild accusations.
Some people began answering her using the same tone, but they were by no means "picking on her."
Then, in your thread, a weird accusation that Neroter had hurled was used in a tongue-in-cheek way. At that point, LIBRA popped up and also began hurling paranoid accusations about. Really paranoid.
The answers made to Libra weren't "picking" on her either. They were simply answers.
Has it come down to this, that simply answering a poster or disagreeing with them is deemed to be "picking" on that person?!? I suppose the rest of us should just allow such accusations to stand unanswered and thereby allow ourselves to be blackened without opposition? Not likely.

No Bunnicula. The threads I was referring to, neither Libra nor neroter were 'attacking' anyone. It first started as a letter post by 12, then neroter said something to the effect of how nice it was, right after (here I go again) Kiara comes and she brings up something that not everyone has a clue about and gives it to her. I don't read all the threads, then there was the trivia question, then Maggiemuggins had to do her own diddly trivia about Libra. Libra didn't say anything to her in that particular thread. I am talking about particular threads here.

No it has not come to that. Everyone has the right to disagree. But when they start bringing there horseshit into a thread that didn't have anything to do with some other 'problem' they were having with the posters, it gets kinda stupid.
And there is maggiemuggins calling me a moron and idiot. I don't have the time to read through every single thread in the RT.
How were anyone to know that your father had passed away? Shall we all put disclaimers in that 'don't talk about my mother she died when I was 17' 'don't talk about cancer, because I have it' 'don't talk about affairs because my husband is having one?' No. And no one can read your mind, or know your personal business, unless you bring it up yourself. I'm sorry your feelings were hurt, but all can't make the assumption that if they say something in general, like 'your father ......' and you got hurt, who knew? No one until you brought up it was hurtful to you.
No bunnicula, of course there is going to be name calling, but out of the blue, again, and in a thread, where the person has been 'picked' on (for lack of a better word) and hasn't said a thing to have that said to him/her, its just plain ass mean.
twelve is twelve... I believe even Kraft said they had some kind of understanding.

In the "letter" and "trivia" threads, people who had been hurt by Neroter & Libra's attacks did speak OT, I agree.
They were trying, I think, to get a bit of their own back for the hurtful things that had been said to them & the accusations flung at them.
Was it right? No. But understandable.
As for name calling, personally I wish there'd be a lot less of it. It gets ridiculous.
Of course, if the person actually is a moron (Bush, for instance) then it is not name-calling but a statement of fact.

NearTheSea, you admit you don't read all the threads here.
I chose an unrelated thread to get nertoer12's attention since she has had no problem choosing unrelated threads to LIE and accuse me of posting her seller ID and of messing with her auctions. This has been ongoing since April and it was time to end it once and for all. I tried to do it the other evening when she LIED again but she acted like a coward and took off.
It may have not been the correct thing to do in your eyes but I did it for my own reasons.
I have no need for off-site e-mailing either. It's much easier to call people to account on a public board where they have to face up to their actions in front of everyone if that's where they chose to do their dirty work to begin with.

I don't read all, again, I have read some about the lamp auction, and even that one, I had a vague memory of it.

Thanks NTS - I tried to appologize to Kiara but since I haven't been to that thread yet I don't know what is there. I am afraid to go there to see what else it says. So I will stay away.
There is no need to get involved but I really do appreciate it. I like it when Maggie says lock the thread as if she had any say in it. She would like to be "queen" of the RT but I think their are others that want that also.
The Tall ships are in the harbor and are they beautiful. Our harbor on Lake Michigan is just beautiful and with those ships it is really nice. There are three ships in now and two more expected Friday.

I did go in and appologize to Bizzy. I really felt bad about that. I find it hard to understand attacking an innocent person. I am not talking about myself but Bizzy.

Oh maggie maggie your brain must be fried by now. Why not change your ID to your original one so we all can see who you are. They certainly would be surprised. Evidently you don't have a life. At least I leave here for quite a few hours a day you seem to hang around like a tramp. Well you see you couldn't leave that EO thread alone. Nobody needs defending especially from you. Fluffy and teacher do a great job.
I respect those two posters at least when they post they don't get all goofy like you. They also contribute to the EO with some great informative posts.
