What is Political Correctness?

What is your idea of it? If you think that political correctness is wrong, what makes it wrong? And if it's wrong, then what is right. What is the opposite of political correctness?

Hi Yeager!

Being PC is about saying something honestly but re-wording it so it's benign to everyone, especially minorities. I don't know if it's right or wrong because I could care less how people react to the way I word things.

How about you Yeager?

To me, it's the way of treating others when dealing with them, speaking to them, or about them so as not to reduce their importance or value in any way based on old societal standards.

A person would first have to recognize what was formerly the correct way of treating or speaking to them before they can use a new approach. A person has to unlearn the old behavior and replace it with the new one.

Society is always in a state of refinement. This is an example of that.
