on vacation. Had you all worried there for a minute, huh? LOL, just kidding.
Because my full-time job pays less than minimum wage due to the fact that it's a new struggling not-for-profit and there have been extensive cut-backs in medicare and medicaid payments, I decided to take a second job. I made that decision this morning and guess what? About 1/2 hour ago I got a call from my attorney and she offered me a part-time job at 3x what I'm making now! Actually, she wanted me full time, but I cannot give up on my not-for-profit. . .at least not yet. So, now I'll be working full time for my not-for-profit and part-time for her. She must have been reading my mind! What a gem she is.
Anyway, as much as I hate working my life away, that will at least relieve some of the money woes around here. Geeze, maybe now I'll be able to afford a new pair of shoes. Better yet - gasoline for my car. Or maybe even a NEW car that gets miles and miles per gallon. Yippee!
I'd better enjoy this short vacation while I can because there won't be any more for awhile. Hmmm, I still have three weeks vacation from the not-for-profit. Wonder how I'm going to work that out.
The best part - she's a Democrat!!!!!!!!

Yup, Cheryl, just like so many hard working Americans you need two and three jobs just to make ends meet in this , the "greatest" country in the world.
And since 9% of MY pay is going to China(and eventually my job) I'll be looking, too. Yes, work hard for 40 years and be rewarded by having to find another job because the Republicans put the economy in the flusher.
Funny, isn't it, but BB (before bush) ONE job was enough.
Wonderful how America is going backwards.
Ya, Georgie really helped out the average worker didn't he....what a man!
Well, cheer up , use your vacation wisely....rest and write your politicians. Let's remind them that there are many MORE average people than there are rich in the upper 1%, georgie's base...the have and have mores.
I'm enjoying unusually cool, sunny weather and will put off looking for that second job until the gardening is done.

That's great news Cheryl - you deserve it! I'm jealous of all the "luxuries" you'll be able to afford now (food, gas, etc.)
