This is for the narrowed minded people who only use one news source like factcrap.org so they can only find what they want to find and skip the truth.
Kerry had and has a tax plan....it's been there for anyone seeking the TRUTH to see.

If PLANS are so important when it comes to who you vote for...
Bush started a blood drenched war with NO PLANS and many, many more people were slaughtered because of HIS lack of planning.

Kerry Blasts Bush's Tax Cuts, Offers Own Plan

By Dan Balz
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, December 4, 2002; Page A04

Likely Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry yesterday slammed President Bush's tax cuts as "unfair, unaffordable and unquestionably ineffective" and said the best way to stimulate the sluggish economy is by shelving most future installments of the president's plan in favor of immediate payroll tax relief for all working Americans.

The Massachusetts senator, in a speech at the City Club of Cleveland, charged that Bush's economic priorities represent "tax giveaways that reward" wealthy Americans and big corporations at the expense of middle-class workers and small businesses. "The hard fact is that the new tax cuts proposed by the president don't make economic sense, and they're not fair," Kerry said, according to the text that was released in Washington.

In a speech in Cleveland, Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), a likely presidential candidate, said President Bush's tax cuts "don't make economic sense." (Tony Dejak -- AP)

In the speech, Kerry sketched out a broad economic blueprint for the country that calls for a series of short-term actions to invigorate the economy and longer-term measures, including tax simplification and closing corporate tax loopholes, that he said will restore fairness to the system.

Arguing that Bush's policies have turned "fiscal responsibility on its head," Kerry said the return of deficit spending in Washington means that "the largest cost of the Bush tax giveaway . . . will be paid for by our children" because of the need to borrow from Social Security and Medicare to pay the government's bills.

Although Democratic leaders avoided the issue of Bush's tax cuts during the midterm elections, a number of the party's prospective presidential candidates are on record opposing full implementation of that plan, particularly the income tax rate cuts aimed at the wealthiest taxpayers and the repeal of the estate tax.

But Kerry is the first of the presidential field to call for payroll tax relief, an idea both Robert Reich, the liberal former labor secretary in the Clinton administration, and the Business Roundtable have recently embraced.

Kerry called for a one-year holiday on payroll tax payments for the first $10,000 in income, which he said would mean a $765 tax cut for every worker, or $1,530 for a two-income family. Spokesman David Wade estimated the cost of the tax relief at $100 billion and said Kerry would pay for it from general revenue, not Social Security funds.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan tried to brush aside Kerry's criticisms of the administration, saying Democrats are "trying to resolve differences within their own party" on tax policy. He would not address Kerry's argument that payroll tax relief would provide quicker stimulus and more equitable distribution of future cuts than the remaining installments in the president's plan.

Other Kerry proposals for short-term stimulus include an extension of unemployment benefits due to run out at the end of the year for 820,000 families, an increase in the minimum wage and an expansion of the earned income tax credit for low-income working families. Kerry also recommended a tax credit to reward job creation, the elimination of capital gains taxes for what he called "investments in critical technology companies" and elimination of double taxation on dividends.

Longer term, Kerry said that eliminating offshore tax havens, corporate tax shelters and "corporate welfare" will ensure a tax code that is fair to all Americans. He also said he supports job training assistance for dislocated workers and "empowerment accounts" for low-income Americans.

Kerry's proposed tax cuts and criticism of wasteful corporate subsidies appeared to be an effort to head off Republican criticism that Democrats opposed to future phases of Bush's tax cuts actually favor raising taxes.

crowfarm, keep up your good work. I know its hard reading all the right wing crap and lies day after day. I find it a real hoot that most republicans on this board have at one time or another tried to still blame Bill Clinton for the failed Geo Bush leadership.

My health insurance just jumped up $33.00 a month. "BRING IT ON" you republicans and tell me how this insurance raise is somehow Clinton's fault.

By the way crowfarm, I see that a couple republicans think you and are are the same person. I live near Pittsburgh Pa. What part of the country are you from?

Hey, bigpeepa, I'm in Minnesota, "up north" of the Twin Cities.

Frost warnings for half the state last night but 80 today...."typical" Minnesota weather.

Did you tune in Big Ed Schultz yet?
You'd love the guy! Blasts the Republican with so much truth it leaves them stunned.
Used to be a die-hard conservative until his wife showed him the real world and he's 100% Dem now. Also was a football player and sports announcer for many years. When a fan threw a whiskey bottle into the announcers booth, Big Ed left the mike, left the booth and went to hunt him down! Kinda feisty, is Ed.
We need more of him and more of you....fired up for the average American!

crowfarm, I am sorry to say no I haven't found Big Ed yet. While working on my computer I listen to my radio. We have a great AM daily show called the Lynn Cullen Show out of Pittsburgh. Lynn is a very smart Democrat that tells the truth about the republicans. Talking about radio shows. The republican "ditto heads" show everyone what hypocrites they are by still supporting that liar, junkie Limbaugh.

Very funny how you exposed and got twelvetoes all fired up. Twelvetoes says Bush is the "true choice" If the truth was the only thing Twelvetoes,Linda_K and Bear could post they wouldn't have anything to say.

MORE BAD NEWS FOR THE REPUBLICANS IS THAT KERRY WILL WIN PENNSYLVANIA IN NOVEMBER.

dadofstickboy, the Democrats have been blocked by the republicans for a better less costly health care system for over 30 years now. Now in 2004 you want me to believe you?????

Being in business I get tax breaks that the guy or gal working for a pay check don't get. I don't find that a fair tax system. Giving HUGH tax breaks to the ultra rich and greedy corporations is not a fair tax system.

Geo Bush has already shown me what he does. Bush failed as a leader and I don't like it. I have personal friends that have lost their jobs under Bush. The only Americans Bush helped are the Ultra Rich and Greedy Corporations.

John Kerry tells me he will make a better more united America by helping the middle and working class American. I am willing to see what he can do.

END THE AMERICAN CLASS WAR. VOTE FOR JOHN KERRY AND JOHN EDWARDS.

The rich already pay a 35% income tax rate right now. How much is Kerry going to raise their taxes? This is just good old fashioned class warfare.

My health insurance just jumped up $33.00 a month.

Well you can blame that on ambulance chasing lawyers like John Edwards.

Are you a Greedy Corporation?

Gee:
It sounds that way!
Getting big tax breaks: Then Why Does $33.00
hurt so bad?

And if your HUGE TAX breaks are so great, Why don't you pass them on to your Employees in the form of a RAISE??

Are you saying You Bleeding Heart Democrats don't really want to Share?

cf - You're using a c&P that's two years old to inform us that kerry's said he doesn't agree with Bush's tax cuts. It also doesn't mention how he plans to pay for all the programs he's promised since your article was written. But...hey...I understand...you have nothing to show us what his plans are....as he won't say himself. He says he'll figure it all out and let us know AFTER he's elected.

You mention using only one source. Not the case at all. And here are over 47,000 links that also say:

kerry's numbers don't add up http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=kerry%27s+numbers+don%27t+add+up

Why? Because they don't. He CAN'T tell us how he'll pay for it all....he doesn't know. They're just false promises....and he's beginning to back away from some of them as HIS OWN economists are saying his numbers won't work.

bigpeepa,
those who get a paycheck does not get the same tax break as you who is self employed and own your own business BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE TO TAKE THE SAME RISK YOU DO.
I also can testify they dont work the same kind of hours you do and shoulder the kind of responsibility you do and do the kind of chores demeaning and degrading for someone of your status.
I know two restaurants owners who clean the restroom everynite before they go home.

I know I C&P'ed it correct, you must have said it wrong!
But then again you Democrats can't say anything correct can you?

If you could you wouldn't have purchased computers, so you could push (ctrl-c / ctrl-v) as to actually having to say something!

I didn't realize that it is demeaning to do janitorial work. I'll mention it to the bus boy and the washroom attendant at my favorite nightclub next time I'm there.

Are there any other professions you find beneath your station.

Do you consider your maid to be inferior to yourself?

Just asking.

Oh and by the way when I ran a business that was open to the public I cleaned the toilets occasionally, I used them once or twice also.

davbraun,
if your comment on cleaning toilet -if it is demeaning is directed at my remarks to BIGPEEPA of being self employed versus someone getting a paycheck-
i stated that i know of two restaurant owners who cleaned the restroom everynite before they close shop, often self employed bosses are jack of all trades, they have to be willing to roll up their sleeves to do anything to keep the business going WHILE A PERSON GETTING A PAYCHECK FROM HIS EMPLOYER HAS A JOB TITLE AND JOB DESCRIPTION,he is hired for a certain slot, which requires his expertise and talents in certain area.
He is more productive doing what he does best and often it is not cleaning the toilet, unless he is the janitor or cleaning lady.
Would Boeing like to see their PHD aeronautical engineer taking a break from design work to clean the company toilet at an annual salary of what 225,000 a year??
I used to work for this guy who came running out of his office screaming at his staff whom he paid 100k a year typing his own memo,DID I PAY YOU TO TYPE??DID I PAY YOU TO TYPE>>
He was a mad man but he has a point there, think of it!!
Lets say you hire some photographer to shoot some fancy photos for ebay sales at 55 dollars an hour and you find him running the scanner ??
would you pay him 55 dollars an hour??you can hire a highschool kid to run the scanner at 5 dollars an hour??
