For those that don't live in Wa, the local news has been showing uncounted absentee (94 so far) and persons with felonies voting.
I really don't pay much attention, figured the vote is over.
UNTIL
I just received 2 voter registration cards (yes I voted in Nov!) and both show that I can vote in 2 separte districts (congressional and legislative) I can vote TWICE according to King Co Elections!
Mike got 2 absentee ballots, one using his middle name as his first!
This was too strange, esp when they are raking the head of King Co election over the coals right now.
Hmmm should I use my 'right' to vote twice or not... hmmmmmmmmm LOL!!
(no I am not going to, Mikes calling the Elections board) he is just pissed at this, I thought it was funny esp with that elections board being in 'hot water' lately!

It is your county clerk, that is you have one, that sends out those ballots and that is a big mixup. Call them.
In our state the congress just passed that you need a voter ID card with picture but the govenor is going to veto it. Now after working at the polls during the election there were many that were iffy but since they didn't need a photo ID to register then they had to okay them.
You would think that anything that would make voting easy and legal a picture ID would be one of them.

Well, the problem with King County, its where I live, encompasses a huge area of Western Washington, it may be the biggest county in the U.S. not sure. And thats why it is getting so much press. Because the Election officials in the dept of King County screwed up big time. The head blames it on the clerks or people who count the votes, and the clerks blame it on the head LOL! Whichever, they are in hot water here.
The election for Gov was between Gregoire and Rossi. First vote Rossi won, automatic recount, Rossi won again. Then Gregoires people raised the money, and had a THIRD recount and Tada she won. by 129 votes. And of course when they 'found' all these ballots that were never counted, now its going back to the courts (again) yeah its pathetic. But no matter WHO I voted for (and yes, I only voted ONCE or better yet, 2 ballots like Mike got!) thing is, other people could have gotten these 2 voters registration cards to vote TWICE too! And I wonder how many took that up? LOL! its pathetic alright, but I think its funny in a way. And I think King County Elections head should quit.

Howdy fellow Washingtonian!
Where is Clark Co? (a duh me) I know Snohomish county, Pierce County and Grays Harbor County, oh and Chelan, thats the extent of my knowledge of counties in Wa! LOL!
Anyway, yeah the messed up ballot thing if you see it on TV is King County.
You know that there are parts of King county that want OUT of King and make their own county because they are voting AND paying on things only downtown Seattle will see and have an effect on.
And I don't blame them, one is up in Covington/Kent/Maple Valley area want to be Cedar or Cascade County, I hope they get what they want, I used to live in Maple Valley before it become SubDivision City!
And I would LOVE to move to Eastern WA now, and how they want to seperate from Western WA and become their own state, I can see their point too! This state, that I was born and raised in, and always thought the best place to live, has got me thinking how much its changed, and not for the better, for the worse! (well not ALL, but King County has!)
