Now I know this isn't up-to-the-last-minute but I can certainly and easily find more lies, hate mongering and attempts to de-moralize our troops by the drug addicted criminal conservative mouth. This is just one of so many examples:

Limbaugh Lies to Troops Serving in Afghanistan
Rush Limbaugh went to Afghanistan and seized the opportunity to generate fodder with which to pander to his audience back home. Rush told bare-faced lies to the troops about the content of a Reuters report discussing the quality of front line medical efforts, fatalities and gauging the human costs of the war. Rush is certainly capable of comprehending a story. Here (yet again) he chose not to and instead, lie utterly about the content and claims made in the story. Rush lied thoroughly.. about specifics in the article, how it was "presented" and what it "means".
In going to Afghanistan and lying the troops, Rush (a person who dodged the draft) is using our armed forces for the purposes of enriching himself through his show.

I said, "It's an amazing thing to be home and to look at the politics of the situation. There are actually some people who have set themselves up politically to only benefit if you fail or if we fail in Iraq." I said, "It makes no sense to me, but it's not the majority of the American people."
I mentioned this in Kandahar; you could have heard a pin drop. They did not know this story. I repeated the story to them about this Reuters dispatch that we got that found problems with the news that battlefield fatalities were down and lower per capita than ever before in the history of American warfare. Battlefield fatalities are down, and I said, "Folks, this news was presented as a problem, and the people that reported the news said it's a problem because the reason this is happening is because doctors are where they shouldn't be. Doctors are on the front lines. Doctors ought not be in the front lines, it's too risky. So doctors are saving more lives and then I pointed out to them as the story also said, that the critics said it may not be worth saving all these lives." I looked these uniformed men and women in the eye and I said, "Let me tell you what this story said. It said that these battlefield fatality rates are low because we're saving lives that might not be worth living now, amputees, lose an eye, lose an arm, both arms or what have you. There are actually people, not a majority,but there are people who are reporting that this is bad news," and I said, "My staff and I, for a day, we tried to figure this out.
They're just livid - the press, the leftists in this country - are just upset there are not enough deaths to get people outraged and protesting in the streets against the war. They're mad these doctors are saving lives. They want deaths! They've been counting deaths up to 1000. They still want Bush out of office. Make no mistake about it.

Rush's rhetoric might have dived to a new low with this. The Reuters article was NOTHING like the way Rush "presents" it. The article discusses that due to the success of the front line medical system and its personnel, wounded survivorship is way up. And as result of the success of saving soldiers lives, the human cost of the war might not be accurately represented by soley considering fatalities.
In no place in the article did it state or imply there is anything negative about saving soldiers lives. It directly commended the abilities of the medical teams. In no place in the article did it suggest or imply a desire for there to be more casualties. The article did not yearn for more deaths.
Rush set it up by inaccurately cramming the story into a political context. He also made democrats that target of what was about to come, his utter distortion of what the article said. After voicing the lies, Rush places himself on "their side" by claiming he and his staff were "trying to figure this out".
What Rush did was lie directly to the troops. In so doing, he insulted the integrity of millions of people who support the troops but oppose the conduct of the civilian leadership. Many of the people in the camp who dispute the wisdom of the administration policy are veterans themselves. It is unreasonable to assert they wish more troops to die. Perhaps if Rush had actually served, he might have developed a sense of honor instead of plying the troops with absurd talking points and lies. One can also argue that Rush gave aid and comfort to the enemy by insisting there are large groups of their countrymen who hope they die.
What Rush did stands as a disgraceful insult to the troops, veterans and citizens. There is no excuse for lying to the troops to promote your political agenda and advance personal wealth. Amoral draft dodger entertainers should simply stay home.
It is totally amazing for people to place any credence in what Limabugh says.

Well cowfarm, when the real truth comes out, it is pretty clear you back pedal. It is no secret that two of Minnesota's most embarrassing morons are Al Franken and Katherine Lamphere. If you cannot see clearly enough to see that, then you are much further in the closet then we all know you already are.

Air America?s Year of Decline
The liberal network scores its lowest-ever ratings.
The latest radio ratings are in, and they show continued bad news for Air America, the liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, Janeane Garofolo, and others.
While it is difficult to pinpoint Air America's ratings nationally it is on the air in about 50 stations across the country, and has been on some of them for just the last few months it is possible to measure the network's performance in the nation's number-one market, New York City.
The new Arbitron ratings for Winter 2005, which covers January, February, and March, show that WLIB, the station which carries Air America in New York, won a 1.2-percent share of all listeners 12 years and older. That is down one tenth of one point from the station's 1.3 percent share in Winter 2004, the last period when it aired its old format of Caribbean music and talk.
Air America debuted on March 31, 2004. In the network's first quarter on the air, Spring of 2004, which covered April, May, and June, Air America won a 1.3-percent share of the market audience. That number rose slightly to 1.4 percent in the Summer 2004 July/August/September period, and fell back to 1.2 percent in the Fall 2004 October/November/December period, where it remains today.
Those numbers are, again, for all listeners 12 years and older. Air America executives, however, often point to the network's performance among listeners 25 to 54 years of age, the preferred demographic target for radio advertisers. But in that area, too, Air America is struggling.
Between the hours of 10 A.M. and 3 P.M., the period that includes Al Franken's program, Air America drew a 1.4-percent share of the New York audience aged 25 to 54 in Winter 2005. That number is the latest in a nearly year-long decline. In Spring of 2004, Air America's first quarter on the air, it drew a 2.2-percent share of the audience. That rose to 2.3 percent in the Summer of 2004, then fell to 1.6 percent in the Fall of 2004, and is now 1.4 percent Air America's lowest-ever quarterly rating in that time and demographic slot.
The ratings also show WABC radio, which airs Rush Limbaugh, consistently beating Air America in New York City even though Franken had at one time claimed to be beating the conservative host there. In the 10 a.m. to 3 P.M. period in the Winter of 2005, WABC (and Limbaugh) won 2.7 percent of the audience to Air America's 1.4 percent. In Spring 2004, WABC beat Air America 2.7 percent to 2.2 percent. In Summer 2004, WABC won 2.7 percent to 2.3 percent. In Fall 2004, WABC won 3.6 percent to 1.6 percent.
That last number surprised some observers because it showed Air America faltering in October and November 2004, the period when the presidential election was reaching its finish and political passions were presumably at their highest. But even then, Air America's decline continued. And now, it has fallen even farther.

What I find so funny is how stonecold makes a stupid comment, and can't back it up, then you have Linda who pulls an article from a Right Winger neonazicon to back up her opinion.
The truth of the matter is that wacko's like stonecold and Linda continue to be lemmings. They really want to believe these biased morons like Rush Limbaugh and Byron York. Some credibility could have been given to either stonecold or Linda if they would have chosen their battle wisely, but of course, that isn't the case. Stonecold can't give any proof of his statement, and Linda's use of York's article is like Bush using false information regarding WMDs to attack Iraq. Biased information is just as bad as no information.
The problem with York's article is that he is looking at a microcosm of what is really going on with Air America. Air America has had its share of controversy. It couldn't hold to its market in LA or Chicago in the beginning because of financial problems. However, give credit to Air America for working through that. Air America started on 5 markets and now they are at 56 markets, excluding Internet listeners. They are the fastest growing market in the US. I remember hearing Rush Limbaugh stating they wouldn't succeed. An over 1000% increase in station markets seems to be a very positive step if you ask me and it must be a sign that Air America is succeeding, contrary to what York has reported. What York and Linda seem to forget is that you simply cannot compare Air America to conservative radio. The fact remains, Conservative Radio shows reign supreme. They are the Goliath for talk radio. I wouldn't expect their hosts to support the idea of liberal radio. They want it to fail because they are scared that they will lose both liberal and conservative listeners that will migrate to the left side of the dial. But beware, because just as Conservative Radio is Goliath, Air America is holding that rock that could knock Goliath down. People like Linda and stonecold wouldn't bother to give liberal radio a listen to see what they say, instead they make false accusations, or back up their opinions with misleading information.
Perhaps Linda can find an article from way back when Conservative Talk Radio began. I guarantee it didn't have the success in growth that Air America has had in the first year.

All radio stations have reports make on how many people are listening to whom. You think someone*** has it out and is lying about Air America's ratings? LOL I don't. They're weak and getting weaker. Sure...the dems, as they continue to pour more of THEIR OWN money into keeping it going are only focusing on how many stations they have. But if no one is listening, as it appears they're not....they'll all be shutting down with the dem supporters money runs out.

I didn't make the other leftie radio stations fail. They did because no one listened.
It's not looking good for Air America either....but you can't hang that one on me....no matter how outrageous you are.
And Yes, the progressives have tried to FORCE our soldiers to listen to equal radio time...whether they wanted to or now. Can't get their own stations established enough so they were trying to for Limbaugh to share time so the progressive message could also be heard.
Like with so many other things democratic...can't get in the 'door' one way...then try another. Can't get laws passed in Congress...then get those activist judges making law rather than inturpting it. Same thing...different subject.

the point i was making is that the conservatives continue to tell themselves that Air America will crash, but that has not been the case. It is difficult to measure the success of a new format in such a short term by Arbitron ratings. Linda's York article doesn't give all of the information to the reader to make an educated conclusion whether Air America is successful, a failing business, etc.
Linda, keep thinking that Air America is going down. It will simply prove how much of a lemming you are by following the path of these liars.
The only thing I could possibly give credit to Linda and stonecold is that they turned the tables on Air America, but they of course cannot comment very effectively on what the subject of this thread originally was.
So, my question to Linda and Stonecold is whether they feel Rush Limbaugh's comments and lies are shameful. I'm sure this will reveal their true colors. And finally, while they are at it, we are still waiting on stonecold's proof. Will we ever see it, I didn't think so.

Here is another shameful tactic by Bill O'Reilly, pretending he ever served in the military. His statements from the Radio Factor: "I'll tell you what. I've been in combat. I've seen it, I've been close to it... and if my unit is danger, and I've got a captured guy, and the guy knows where the enemy is, and I'm looking him in the eye, the guy better tell me. That's all I'm gonna tell you. The guy better tell me. If it's life or death, he's going first."
Truth be known, Bill O'Reilly never served in the military. In fact, he avoided serving in Vietnam by attending school Another classic example of a neonazicon's shameful tactics of misleading their listeners. It is pretty shameful for their faithful minions to continue to follow these morons. Bill's sex scandal and Rush's drug abuse doesn't sound all too "faith based" does it? The problem with these talk show hosts and their followers is the fact that they are nothing but hypocrites.

I am VERY, very sorry to hear your reason for leaving. Truly I am. But your last few posts before doing so were pretty angry.....just like your need to call names now.
Really shouldn't let political issues overtake your ability to control your words thought nor to lose your civility. But the hatred that comes from the left to the right is only growning and I guess this is just the proof of that. We are a very divided Nation and the dems are still angry about losing all control of the three branches of our government. Might want to question if their behavior is part of what's turning the moderate dems towards our party.
