How many of you are addicted to sweets? My mom used to give me Heath Bars when I was teething and I think it effected me for life. The weird thing is that after I had my 2 wisdom teeth pulled, I have NO desire for anything sweet... nothing! Do you think one of them was my sweet tooth?

That's quite an observation but I doubt it since your wisdom teeth were still imbedded in your gums when you had the heath bars. But if you think that go ahead as anything could be possible.
Wow, you must have had some strong teeth. That is one hard candy bar.

LOL...I personally don't think they're related. 
KD, I ate those years and years ago...but for teething? Didn't they have chunks of nuts in them?
I think most love chocolate...women especially. Always wondered why is it that what tastes the best is always something that's not good for us. It's a struggle I've had all my life. So...I'd consider myself fortunate if I were to suddenly lose my cravings for sweets.
But having my own wisdom teeth removed didn't help me at all.

My weaknesses are Keylime anything and for the past month or two - milkshakes. I can't get enough milkshakes! I finally foun d the balance between feeding the craving and not gaining three sizes by using frozen yogurt. Right now my favs are Blackberry (using actual blackberries and blackberry yogurt) and Caramel Machiatto (Coffee Ice Cream, Sugar Free Caramel Syrup, Sugar Free Hot Chocolate Mix). Next is to figure out how to make a Bananas Foster....

me and the wife are both chocolate lovers.A couple of years ago we went down to Hershey,Pa to their theme park there.We were walking thru one of the exhibit buildings and they were selling Hershey chocolate bars.My wife wanted to buy one and I told her that it cost over twice what you could buy it for in the A&P.Well she bought it anyway-I said why? ya think it was fresher? ya think it was going to taste better?? She said,"well,we're in Hershey and I just wanted to get a Hershey bar." I married a democrat-I figured they had SOME common sense........EHHHHH WRONG ANSWER..

I remember having to share a heath bar with my sister. My did would smash it against the cupboard and break it and then distribute it. Same with the coca cola in the small bottles. I think that gave us each 1/2 glass of coke. Isn't it funny what mememories we have of when we were children.

fenix- Go to the See's Candies website. I believe they have a key lime truffle. You can "build" your own box of chocolates- mine always includes their Blueberry Truffles, Raspberry Truffles, and whatever else strikes my fancy at the time. (I like their chocolates better than Godivas!) They have a white chocolate covered "Apple Pie" that's pretty good too. The best coffee to go with chocolates is Godiva's Creme Brulee....
I hope I still have some Reese Peanut Butter Eggs hidden......lol!

Yum!! I am such a sucker for Key Lime it really is nuts. Doesn't have to be sweet even. A friend picked up some Key Lime Rub for me in the Caribbean and now I use that all the time too. Lime on beef is just absurdly good.
The Truffles sound sinfully delicious though, going to have to give that a run.

I like the Pepsi. OK, I love the Pepsi, there is a case in the fridge and one beside my keyboard as I type. It tastes like they actually added lime.
The Coke is more like they added something that they think tastes somewhat similar to what they think lime might taste like if added to soda. It just ain't quite right.

Heath Bars...m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m...only thing better is Almond Roca...one of my students gave me a box of special Almond Roca that Starbucks put out last Christmas...Almond Roca with a BIG dose of French roast...you could'a shot me right there and I'da been a happy man. I can't imagine paying 3 or 4 bucks for a cup of coffee, but Starbucks got that one right!

After reading all your posts, I thought maybe the talk of sweets would spark something in me to get me back on track. Key Lime pie - if I was in normal mode, I'd eat 2 slices for breakfast. Almond rocha - I love that stuff Prof. You guys are lucky. I now realize I'm a loser.
