Since the last kitten, Soot, have been adopted by a good home.
Trouble is, Soot was the best buddy/brother of Smoke.
I'm trying to convince Smoke that he's not going anywhere but he keeps attaching himself to my feet or following me everywhere. Tripped over him several times...

Speck's kittyhood nickname was "Velcro Kitty". It's just something they do. I think they get a charge out of watching us stumble across the floor and make weird squawking noises at them...

Toomany,
I agree with HCQ. I think it is designed to be a rousing good time. I don't know how many times I have tripped over a kitten and thought I had hurt them when they ran off or screamed only to have them come back in 5 minutes and do it all again.
It has to be a game and I think they run off thinking you will chase them which is what you do exept it is to see if they are okay. LOL!

Did anyone see the photo in the news of the kitten born without a pelvis? The mother had abandoned it and someone brought it in to be euthanized but the vet decided to see what he could do. He rigged up some kiddie K'nex toys to make a sort of wheeled harness for the back half of the cat and the cat gets around by pulling himself with his front paws. There's nothing else wrong with the kitty and he's doing fine with his rig. The vet named him "Speedy"-after the dog in the Drew Carey show, I'd bet.

shadowcat - no I didn't see the show but I have heard and seen about dogs and cats being placed with harness/wheel device to give them more movement. I thing it's great
