For those who haven't already heard.. the OTWA Board is shutting down. Some of us have posted there or lurked and enjoyed the board's variety of forums.. sad to see it go.
But I thought you would be interested in viewing how we, here at Vendio are perceived by some over there..the question was...where the community should go in search of another message board now that OTWA is closing...
here is a quote from the "fluffywondercat" giving her opinion of a couple of boards...us included...

Ron it's another place similar to Vendio....a community of auction sellers where they discuss the same things there that we do here in our different community sections.
Many of our posters here left and went there when AW/Vendio started required we register with credit cards.

Sympathy and condolences, certainly, but being a bottom-line kind of person myself, let's get to the bottom line:
How much cash do you need to keep it going and by when?

A handful of others said they'd contribute too....to keep the site alive. Many sad and disappointed members. But I think anyone can understand the investment that Jim and Crystal put into keeping that site going for so many years. I sure wish them the best, no matter what final decision they make.

Yes, I read her pledge and thought it was indeed putting her money where her mouth is.. and challenging others to do the same..
I didn't get to know Fluffy, as she left Vendio shortly before I started posting here.
From what I gather, she was very knowledgeable in the Sales/ Auction Arena..although I read that she offended people regularly with her blunt, in your face..don't suffer fools lightly..way of posting...
My poke in the eye comment was only based on her "Derogatory comments about us here"..

As if!!! How DARE she make an accusation of that nature!!!!
Anyway, back to me, I was going to auction off 1 item today but the boils on my bum are getting sore and my arthitis is kicking up, plus I broke a toe.

I once defended that abrasive bittch in Ebay Outlook when everyone was raking her over the coals while she was suspended and unable to answer. Never again! Seems that she is unwelcome here, there and everywhere!

I'm sure she meant outlook, but still thats harsh-(meaning there is some great people in EO that really help others, and they have helped me, and I've been on ebay since 97, OH that is way tooo long! LOL)
I am sorry that OTWA is closing though
I've read at the Ross Show quite a few times, its pretty funny most of the time

Mags - Fluff never posted on this side on this board. She was a extremely blunt and had a wicked sense of humor but she is smart as a whip, has a great deal of knowledge on both her product and marketing and is willing to share it with those who ask. The problem most had with Fluff is that they wanted her knowledge but not her delivery. Personally I always thought she was great.
People thought she was rude to her customers but she sold a few hundred pieces a week and everything one needed to know was in the auction and eventually she would just crack and let loose. Gotta admit I've done that myself more than once.
BTW - She is not a Dem.

I never considered running trash jewelery for a penny anything but stupid. Then cry because she went broke on E-Bay. I at least make money off of what I sell on E-Bay,I'm just not a Queen Powerseller who gets all my stuff bid in. As far as a broke down old lady,I can probably run circles around that ol' mangy flea bitten feline.
