Is NOT ebay related

Went to the P.O. and they have these in there, asked what the 'flat rate' was, and stumped the clerk! Huh?

They are the small (6x10" ? ) brown Flat Rate Global Priority envelope (kinda thick cardboard type material) Went to try and do it on Click and Ship, and they don't do it there. I believe its $5. I'm trying to send a letter to Great Britain.

If anyone knows if you can print this flat rate Global Priority on line, would surely appreciate it!

you cant do this online, the distinct red and white design makes it easy to recognise it is global priority .

6x9's are $5, the full size are $9 but I don't think this can be printed online. Luckily as soon as your brain dead clerk keys in Global Priority and the size, the price will be there for them. At least that part of the post office has been made idiot proof.

No, I'm saying -- I'm merely -- I'm saying what I'm saying. I don't know why I'm always having people say, are you trying to say -- you know what you can do if you want to know what I'm saying is listen to what I'm saying. What I'm saying is what I said ...

Bear, thats what I found too, and said, nope I don't think a letter is worth $20 to send!

Fenix I'm telling you, this is one that we've 'known' for years, and I swear he was high! I am not kidding! There were 2 clerks in there, and no customers, and woaw, the other clerk was standing there with a blank look....... duh?
I guess she got some from him! Well, have to go back when they aren't high or someone else is working

You don't have to do any customs on these do you?

Thanks all!

Depends on how anal the clerk is. If it's just a letter, absolutely not. If you put something merch in there some will insist that you do. I generally refuse and tell them I've been doing this for years and never had a problem and they let it go figuring that when it comes back I'll be taught my lesson. Of course they don't actually ever come back.

Thanks fenix, I didn't think I'd need to do customs form.

Interesting thing on the envelope it says:

Limitations on Contents:

When using Global Priority Mail, cash or cash equivalents and all hazardous materials are prohibited.

So basically they are saying no money order or checks, since they are cash equivalents? Nuts!

I do understand the hazardous materials, I doubt you could get much in these small envelopes!

Go to usps.com>rates international>UK and key in the weight. You'll see Global Priority as one of the options.

nearthesea,
global priority envelope is never brown, are you sure you are talking about global envelope?
You can also get the sticker and slap it on your own packaging, but it wont be flat rate.
both envelope and sticker can be ordered online.

wow! thanks dave, I think thats it!

stop, it looks brown to me, I don't know maybe its dark grey. I thought, I can take a pic, but I loaned my camera to my daughter

It does have some red on it, and white, but the whole background is a dark grey or brown?

And you wonder why your items are taking upwards of 12 weeks to be delivered.
