we have farm raised shrimp,pawn,tilapia,scallops,salmon,so why cant we have farm rasied Alaskan King crab??

Because no farmer wants to be known as someone that's got Crabs.

Yeah, and they're all inferior in taste and texture to the real thing. I do know that King Crab comes from profoundly deep and extremely cold water...maybe that has something to do with it...

Don't know about farm raised pawns, but, PRAWNS are tasty.

TIger prawns from Thailand.
Farmed raised fresh water prawns from India and Pakistan.
I have seen prawns from south america the size of a small lobster.
