Yeah, ok, I've been sewing along nicely, had the tension all right, and made some small things, now today, the bobbin tension is all messed up and super loose, I tried all the tension numbers and still nothing! ack I have it threaded right (I think ) and the top stitch is fine, but the bottom is loose as &^$%^%@
This is a Singer 6110 and I tried looking it up, and on the singer site (and other sites), they have ALL their older models EXCEPT this one! It was made in 1983. It came with the original receipt, thats how I know that, and it did come with some simple guides, such as threading, read those again, and I have it right, but the damn thing is still too loose.

Anyone know about the Singer 6110?? I hate to take it in. It was so inexpensive to buy, its not worth it to have a repairman look at it, if thats what it needs. I could buy a new basic one.
I'm surprised that I couldn't find this model anywhere!
Anyone? please
Thanks in advance

And I didn't say sewers, I say 'seamstress' now classic

ok, nevermind, I'm an idiot, I had it threaded wrong. Just one tiny, tiny bit off, and it messes up a whole stitching. Threaded all right now, and I'm back in business

NearTheSea - Glad you found out what was wrong....it CAN be frustrating at times.

Each machine is different and I know when I go to sew on my sons fiance's machine it is the hardest one to thread the bobbin on.

IF this happens again....and you can't find out what you did wrong....there may be a tiny little screw on the side of the metal bobbin holder piece that inserts into the machine plate.

On some it's permanent....not removable...but on many it come out so you can place a plastic or metal bobbin in...one you've already threaded inside it.

Anyway...if any of that makes sense....sometimes the tension can be changed by screwing that tiny little screw one way or the other. On an old machine I have...turning it clockwise makes the botton thread tension tighter.

It's hard because so many machines are set up so differently.
