Petfinder.com Foundation sets up hurricane fund to benefit animal placement groups.
EDISON, N.J., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ --
Petfinder.com announced today that
it has created a Hurricane Katrina emergency resource page
http://katrina.petfinder.com dedicated to helping people find information
regarding displaced pets in need of shelter, food and water. The Webpage
includes updated information as well as a message board for posting or
communicating with others about the plight of pets, animals and their people
affected by the hurricane.
The Petfinder.com Foundation has also set up a hurricane fund to assist animal placement groups affected by Katrina. Web visitors can make tax-deductible donations from http://katrina.petfinder.com .

Kiara, Thank you for posting this. I usually don't respond to round table threads, but this is such a valuable resource for pet owners. Hopefully we can all open our wallets so this group can do their work.
I know for a fact that if any of my 6 furry children were lost, I would hope that they would be taken care of until we were reunited.
