I know this is kind of morbid, but what's going to happen to all the dead people they find (from Katrina)?

Good question and what about all those that have become "unburied"?

I never even thought of that. That's a good question too.

They might just have to identify them as best as they can and maybe take fingerprints, dna samples and photographs and then burn them.

They were talking on one of the news shows about a need for refrigerated trucks for the dead bodies but some have been dead for 2 days and are starting to bloat and stink.

ed to add; that refrigerated trucks may not get there for, well awhile at least maybe 3 or 4 days and then if they do manage to get them in refrigeration, then where would they bury all of them?

It is my understanding that, in NO at least, they don't really bury people, but place them in above ground crypts. That might make it easier.

Other areas they may just need to do the mass grave thing with a marker.

They are going to have to cremate. So many people are leaving the city never to return that most of the bodies may never be identified.
