Anyone watching Fox tonight? Geraldo is in the NO Convention Center and broke down in tears during his report. This is a guy that is so frustrated by what is going on that he's losing it and he just got there today. Sheppard Smith is talking about how the people are locked into the area. There is a checkpoint on the only bridge going out of the area and any residents that have given up hope of the government helping them and decide to try to help themselves and walk out are turned back. People that are in the convention center itself are locked in, without food, without fresh water and with murders and rapes every night and these people are not being allowed to leave. there have been no buses out of the convention center since this began.
The funny thing is that Hanitty is desperately trying to be the Rah Rah Gov guy and his two correspondents (both normally super conservative holding the Fox company line guys) have basically both told him he has no idea what he's talking about.

Stop - there are convention centers, sports arenas, military bases all over this country. The fact that one is full only means that others need to step up and FEMA needs to get their act in gear. the fact that the astrodome is full does not excuse not feeding people, not providing security in location where you told people to go to be safe, and not letting people leave of their own accord.

Last I saw, there was about 40 firefighters and their families locked inside the Bell South buildings, with snipers outside not letting them leave. Whats up with that?
Yes I saw Geraldo and Shepard Smith, it was something else

I saw them both. I've never seen Shepard Smith at a loss for words; he was truly moved and dumbfounded by the lack of information. I thought Geraldo was genuine, too.

Am I the only one who saw that and just wanted to shake Sean Hanity and hope that the compassion that must be stuck down in toes would rise to the surface?

I don't think he cried when he was whacked in the head with that chair years ago....I would have cried...
With the constant news coverage I'm in an almost state of tears. We finally had to turn the TV off and the radio on. It's almost as bad as watching the 9/11 events.

I think he was about to cry years ago when he opened that safe in Chicago that was supposedly owned by Capone. It was on live TV and they had to break down a brick wall to get to the safe. They were expecting all kinds of goodies in it,and when they opened it up,there was absolutely nothing...never laughed so hard in my life.

Geraldo tends to go over the top at times. I thought Shepherd Smith's reporting was pretty good, he has such a distinctive personality that I didn't think he could pull it off.
Everyone is yelling about how bad communication was down there in the first few days. Wouldn't you think that is expected when there is no electricity, no phones, etc.
Perhaps they should have had a better plan in place.
