Yes, I am an addict. It can be difficult--almost every day I make a desperate search for what I so desperately need & want, but it is hard to find. Most sources have never even heard of it. So far, I have only found a single source in my community, and sometimes I can't even find it there. It is so frustrating!
I am speaking, of course, of the elusive Ginger Altoids. I go through boxes of them, constantly popping them into my mouth & crunching them up with relish. These things are the best ever!!
And I'm beginning to think I will have to start buying them on line. The Rite Aid near my house is the only place I've been able to find them and their supply is spotty at best.
It's terrible having a monkey on your back...

I don't think thee ARE coffee flavored Altoids. Or maybe not anymore. The official Altoids site (www.AltoidsShoppe.com) doesn't mention them.

Doesn't the name ALTOIDS bug anyone? It's a breath mint, not a type of bum disease or the latest pumping iron pill. What were they thinking?

with the invention of GINGER Altoids, I can forgive them anything
As to why they are called "Altoids":
From the Altoids site: "The name Altoids comes from the Latin word "alt" meaning "to change" and the Greek word "oids" meaning "taking the form of." "
They date back to the 19th Century

Mingo - I think I know the ones you are talking about. Are you referring to Cafe Intense? I can't find them anywhere anymore. They are not even on the makers website.
