Here are some things I have learned from watching the news about Hurricane Katrina on TV in the past month...

1. The hurricane only hit black families' property.

2. New Orleans was devastated and no other city was affected by the hurricane.

3. Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.

4. New Orleans has no white people.

5. The hurricane blew a limb off a tree in the yard of an Alabama resident.

6. When you are hungry after a hurricane go steal a big screen TV.

7. The hurricane did 23 billion dollars in improvements to New Orleans: now the city is welfare, looters, and gang free. The perpetrators are in Houston, Phoenix, and other cities.

8. White folks don't make good news stories.

9. Don't give thanks to the tens of thousands that came to help rescue you, instead #*!@ because the government hasn't given you a debit card yet.

10. Only black family members got separated in the hurricane rescue efforts.

11. Ignore warnings to evacuate and the white folks will come get you and give you money for being stupid.

12. Damn, I feel so sorry for all those black folks.

13. Oh... it is all George Bush's fault.

I gave my liberal neighbors son a book for his birthday. He went crazy trying to find where to put the batteries.

I'll add one....that while the President is in WA DC....he is fully responsible for everything that went wrong in getting aid to help the people......

....while the mayor of NO and the governor of LA did everything perfectly.

The rest on your list, bear, are accurate too....according to those who rarely deal in reality.

And why the American Voters chose to RE-elect President Bush to four more years. YES!!!

Lets examine the logic behind this response from Rustydumbo:

1) spoken like a true backwoods;

As a native born Houstonian, I can hardly be accused of being backwoods.

(P.S. isn't your heritage Panamanian? Talk about backwoods third world countrys)

2) cold water showering;

At least I know what personal hygiene is, if it takes washing in cold water to achieve cleanliness, so be it.

3) a-hole;

In this instance I'll defer to your expertise, after all your personal experience in this area is far greater than mine.

Bear,
If you look on the web I believe your right I believe his name is on the A-List as Rustytrombone. Rusty, do you know what a rusty trombone is? It's a Panamanian thing.
