I just bot a new car, well not exactly new new,but certified used car with only 3000 miles and the salesman proudly pointed out he filled the gas tank half full !!
Now aren't they supposed to give us a full tank??
They serve starbuck coffee, give massage on monday, manicure on Tuesday,I dont remember what it is on other days, but every day it is different .
You would think they should stick to their knitting-the car business!!

May be they are not really in the car business--after I gave them a check and told them not to deposit until I say so,the salesman showed me some ugly rusty scratches on the car which they cant remove due to time constraint, but promised they will fix it in a jiffy if I bring the car back .
These scratches were well covered up when I examined the car,I even ran my fingers over them and thought they were minor minor light scratches!!
Why do they remove the disguise and show me the UGLY TRUTH ??Is it a threat that the check better not bounce or I could end up with bloody scratches??
Any insight is welcome !!

Never trust a used car salesman!
Now I see why they will sell a car at cost or slightly above cost.
The way he explained to me how commish works-if he sells under 10 cars, then he gets 25 dollars per car,but if he sells more, say 15,then the commish for all the cars he has sold go up to say 100 dollars per car. Then if he sells 20,each car is 200 dollars.
so with 20 cars,he will get 4k commission.
They usually sell over 20 cars in a month.

Never trust New Car Salesmen either!
We went a year or so ago to the Ford dealer.
We test drove an Explorer.
We decided NOT to even consider buying, after driving it(because I like Jeep more) and the salesman was practically on his KNEES it was awful, followed us out of the office, to our car, trying to make a deal! Damn! I thought we'd never get outta there!
I think that would be the last job in the world I would take!
And I believe they usually will fill the tank when selling a car
