Double, isn't it something this time of year... all spooky looking with those wispy clouds passing in front of it? If it wasn't so cold outside, I'd go out howling.

'If it wasn't so cold outside, I'd go out howling.'
If you did that then your own moon would get cold, then you'd have to cover it up and it would be a total lunar eclipse.

Pi, a few years back, I mooned a couple of cars on their way to the beach (the road outside my house leads to the beach) and they sped up! I laughed my head off. I hope none of them ended up with emotional scars.
Double, Tears for Fears is my number one favorite group! I think their new album is called "Everyone Loves a Happy Ending" or something close. I've been meaning to buy it, so thanks for the heads up!

A couple of years ago my brother and i were at a restaurant, sitting at the counter and there was this young, about 19 year old waitress, wearing a short skirt on the other side. She bent over to get something off the bottom shelf and we could see up her skirt and she wasn't wearing anything underneith. To kinda break the ice of the moment and because i and my brother were about to have a coronary i called out to her, loud enough for everyone in the place to hear; Hey watch out where you point that thing, it might go off. She stood up real fast and most everyone in the place busted up laughing. She was a good sport about it though and I think she liked the attention. She had to know what she was doing. We left her a big tip, she earned it.

kraft, yes that is the name of the new cd. I've always liked them alot too! I bid a few times for it on ebay, but kept getting outbid. One guy had the penny sale with free shipping. But he/she had to be shilling it. I bid up to 11.50 on one, and still was outbid...so figured after that I might as well buy it at the store, or download it.

I bid awhile back too, Double. I was always outbid. You have great musical taste!
You bring up a good point, Mah. If you mooned a vehicle and it ended up crashing because of the horror, would you be liable?

Okay....I have a silly question. Yesterday KD stated the moon she saw was about 3/4 full. At the beginning of this week, during a nightime ride home with my top down I saw an almost totally FULL moon.....so how can that be?
We see the moon, in whatever shape it's in....according to how much the sun is reflecting on it at that time, right?
So can anyone here explain why would KD be seeing a 3/4 moon when I was seeing a totally full moon yesterday?

It depends on what you two were drinking and/or smoking at the time when you each viewed the moon.
------------------
I think that one of the funniest things a person can do is to pull their pants down and moon someone. I mean think about it, there they are showing their naked buttt to someone, like it's an insult. Every time i've ever seen it, i allways wished i had my slingshot with me and a couple of marbles.....ouch!!!

Okay....piinthesky....another 'mark' against you. This time by a conservative, me.
I wasn't drinking or smoking anything. And it was a completely full moon that I saw...and a white one too. Not the color that KD or dbl mentioned.
LOL There HAS to be some explanation for the difference....seriously....darn it.

Well, since you can't decide just WHEN it was that you saw a full moon....
See...the moon doesn't STAY full...that's why first we see a little bity part of it and then a little bitty more until it's full and then DUH it WANES and appears to get smaller.
(P.S. It's really always there...we just can't always see it, Linda)

My younger daughter called me (she's 23!) and asked me why she could see the moon in the daytime!!! (a month or so back)
I told her it was The End of The World as We Know it. Or TEOTWAWKI and of course she believed me. (I'm a bad mommy!! )
I haven't checked the moon, it was cloudy here for a bit, but the suns been shining last couple days
ok you guys, never, ever, EVER look directly at the moon

Up until last night I had several nights of full moons. It was bright enough outside that the guard light wasn't needed.
I gave my liberal neighbors son a book for his birthday. He went crazy trying to find where to put the batteries.

Texas is one state west of me...and bear see's/saw a full moon. Mississippi is one state east of me....and maggie see's/saw the moon as 2/3 full. I'm in the middle of them both...and I saw a full moon one day ago...[not last night]. Weird.

'piinthesky - There are NO gold stars given out for irritating the females on this board....be they liberals or conservatives.'
Aww come on now you enjoy it - admit it, i add some spice to this otherwise bleak and bleary board. There's more to life than boring, serious discussions about politics.

Maggie, the moon is waning, therefor it's not 2/3 full. If it were waxing, that is, heading towards full, that would be a correct statement. It's shrinking though, so the correct term is "waning gibbous", gibbous means you can see more than half of it.
My brain is waning gibbous. There's more than half of it left, but not for very long.
