Ron - As a person who has voted for 3rd party candidates....and who someday would like to see a strong third party choice....it's just never been a realistic way to vote. We're a two party country....and I seriously doubt a third party will EVER become strong enough to be a real challenge to either the dems or the republican party.
So voting for other than one of those two...is just throwing your vote away.
But I have read your party platform before, agree with much of it and believe that they are closer to leaning 'right' than 'left'.
The way things stand now....I just can't see myself ever again throwing away MY vote....they're too precious when the liberals are so radical these days.

Ron - I understand YOU don't see it that way.
But it really is a wasted vote....especially when the elections are so close...as they were in 2000. All those votes for 3rd party candidates, even IF only because they were protest votes, are not part of the decision making process on which party will have their influence on our Nations path for the next four years.
So...if one really opposes the platform of the democratic party, say like me, and I don't vote for the Republican party, but a third party candidate instead, then the dems, who imo are heading this Nation too far to the left...will win and their policies will be put into play.
Whereas even if I don't agree with all of the platform of the Republican party....I agree with MORE of what they support than I do of the liberal agenda.
But to vote for a 3rd party candidate, for any reason, won't help decide the direction this Nation. Besides, I believe the highest percentage any 3rd party candidate received was 15%, usually it's MUCH lower [about half].
So that's why I say it's 'a wasted vote', because it won't have ANY influence on anything...it will be just like not voting...that vote won't matter one bit. Might as well stay home and not vote, imo.
