Just wondering if anyone watched it and what they thought.
I thought it was interesting to find out that the entire thing was not scripted and that the actors were given briefing packets on the topics.

Are you referring to its artistic or political content?
I didn't watch it because I've seen the show before and think it's a stinker, artistically and dramatically.
Politically, I believe its bias and leans to the left.
So I wouldn’t care how the show went.

Colin - you mean that you think a show that has been centered around a democratic candidate may be left leaning? SHOCKING! Of course it is.
Maybe you should have watched and voted though, aparently the debate results will influence which candiate wins the election and the thusly the direction of the show if it continues next season.
(I could have sworn I heard that Alda was only signed on for episodes thru Novemeber but the writers are saying they have not actually made up their minds yet which way the elections will go.)

Why would I vote on a fictitious election. It would be like voting in a AOL Poll

Here you have to have the whole digital cable package for the dvr set-up, that would run me about $50/month.
I "cough" get some free service.

yes, I watched 2/3rds and thought it was interesting how much fidgeting there was. I confess, I had been out all day walking at art fairs, church etc. I enjoy the program and like both Alda and Smitts and I'm learning a lot about backroom politics - even though I've been volunteering on both Republican (McCain Primary) and Democratic Govenor here in Arizona. Started volunteering on political campaigns with Chuck Percy back in Chicago. Registered Independent so I'm not afraid to hear new data. I'm interested in learning -- not in being right! Welcome Chris..!
By the way, do you know what that thing is growing out of McCain's face? Last time I saw him, it looked huge.. like it was going to burst and one of those little alien creatures was going to pop out???

Chris - did you catch the first 2/3 or the last? I thought that Aldas point of view on Africa was really interesting. That's one of the things I have always liked about West Wing when it it at it's best. It takes a given issue and twists it a few different ways to make you see it from different view points. I also thought the Smits points about administrative cost differences between Medicaid and HMOS was interesting.
BTW - Welcome.
