Other Bay Area resident's please report in. Hope no one is in Napa where it seems to have hit the hardest. A child in critical condition from a head injury and many others in ER. Stores a mess, damage to homes.
Here on the Peninnsula more like a gentle roll. No damage.
For those of you not in earthquake country, there are different types of earthquakes. Some are like a sharp jolt. Others are lots of shaking either up and down or side to side. This was a roller at 5.2 which is moderate.
I was watching a movie in bed. I have a water bed and it was really moving. At first it was just a few small waves, that stopped then the bigger one really made big waves. My dog was at the foot of the bed woke up and looked at me and went back to sleep. She probably thought I was just moving. The scarey thing is always after it's over and wondering if there will be a bigger one.

Centered in Yountville, shook the pot plants, and about 8,000 transplanted midwesterners are running home to Nebraska. All in all a good thing.
