You're right, it IS gorgeous. The only thing you'd get for that price in my area is a tar-papered outhouse!

Beautiful sunset....can just picture you and Mike taking a romantic stroll along the shore.
Could part of the reason it's not so expensive be because of:
Leasehold land w/option to renew. Not sure how those work, but it would be one concern I'd have. How much additional money might that cost when the lease needed to be renewed? They had these in Hawaii....because no one could own the land there, unless you were a native Hawaiian....and those leases could get REAL expensive.
Did you enquire about that, Near?
I also love the laundry hanging right in the middle of the sunset picture. lol Real life...

Yeah, I said there was one little problem..
Its on Tribal land, and they own the property:
*Important* - This home is on Tulalip Tribe Reservation leased land - contact your agent, or call me for complete details. The basics: This home is on Tulalip Tribal leased land. The current lease runs until the end of 2027, and has a guaranteed 15 year renew option at the end of the existing lease, so 36 years of lease is guaranteed. The current lease rate is $481/mo.
There is no property tax on the leased land, only the structure. Property tax on equivalent waterfront elsewhere would be likely to greatly exceed the lease value. I have a list of lenders who can work with tribal leased land mortgages if needed. There are not many opportunities
Too bad! Course if it was not on Tribal land, it would be a lot more!
I don't know, 1600 sq ft isn't bad for a 2 bd 1 bath home. The footage looks like its in the open great room, dining room, living room.
And it said there was a office/studio in one of the buildings on the land.
Yeah I was going to contact them until I read about the leasehold on it.
I just really, really love the layout of the open area, and the color of the ceramic tile on the floor, kind of looks southwestern, sorta.
140k is dirt cheap, well if it was in King co it would be!!
Our house is just a foot or so under 3000 sq ft, and cost 4 x that of this house on the water!
I'd of given up this to have something like that!! But I can dream! Love the Puget Sound waterfront!

Linda, yep, its like the ones in Hawaii. You could never own the land.
My idea of owning a home is to own the land too but there is no way I would do a lease. It surely wouldn't feel like mine at all, and I'm sure you couldn't leave it to your kids when your gone.
I was seriously thinking of a vacation type place, and Mike thought that too, until the part where you are on leased property..

Yeah, I watch HGTV when I can. Always looking for something even better!
Our home is a nice home, but I really love waterfront or at least a view
I am grateful that we have this house. Its private, what Mike says 'we live on a penisula' and we do have a view of the Cascade mtn range.
By looking at real estate, and esp. the pics of the interiors, I do get ideas. Right now, today, we are doing one of the bedrooms for Lily, the granddaughter. We bought new furniture for her, and its been sitting in the garage, wrapped in plasic for a few months, so decided we better get busy! He's doing the sanding now on the floors. I can't wait to put her furniture in there! Its been a long time since I did a baby/kids room. Its fun!

NTS, if you really like the house, buy it and believe it or not there are house moving companies that can move it to another location, foundation and all.

Not a 100 foot yacht...This guy had a speed boat which he could only use when the tide was in. He had to install a lift on the pier to keep his boat out of the mud.
