I have a reoccuring dream of an experience I had in college.
The professor was giving a lecture on "Involuntary Muscular Contractions". Realizing that this was not the most riveting subject the professor decided to lighten the mood slightly.
He pointed to a young woman (that now some how reminds me of Maggie) in the front row and said, "Do you know what your azzhole is doing while you're having an orgasm?"
She replied, "He's probably drinking beer at the bar with his friends"
"Dear Lord, if you can't make me a better man, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am.".

I wonder what "house" dreams mean. I have had one since I was a kid. it's not actually a house, it's an extension of the house. When I was a kid it was found thru a hidden door in the back corner of a basement workroom, thru the years the entrance location has changed depending on where I am living but once I pass thru, the "extension" is always the same. A huge attic filled with old boxes and steamer trunks that I love to explore. I told my mother about it once and she says that she too has had a recurring "hidden attic" dream. Different attic, different contents, but still ....

In my house dream, I'm trying to find my house. I know where it is and come close to getting there, but can never make it. I try calling people on the pay phone, but can't recall their numbers. It's frustrating and leads to me waking up in the middle of it. I've also had the dreams where you find "treasures" in hidden rooms. Maybe eBay has a lot to do with that one. . . .
My favorite dreams are those of deceased loved ones I miss. My brother David is in my dreams alot. He's been gone since 1996. Two nights ago I dreamed of my grandparents. It was two separate dreams with one appearing in each one. I think it's because they died at different times.
I get the Deja Vu feeling all the time and I'm uncomfortable with it.

Don't you mean dancer at the stripclub you visit??
Absolute faith has been shown, consistently, to breed intolerance. And intolerance, history teaches us, again and again, begets violence.

That's really fascinating, Maggie, Fenix & Cheryl. Do you ever wake up from one of these dreams and wonder which existance is real? Do you think we live other lives in our dreams, or do you think it's just thought processing?

I have woken up a bit confused as to location many times. I have vivid dreams sometimes and if I wake up too quickly it takes me a minute to figure out where I am and what's going on and especially the time of day. I've never woken up and thought I was in the attic though. Can't tell you how many times I went searching for that entrance in the workroom in my old house when I was young though.

I need to get over here more often <g>
House dreams (and most dreams for that matter) are usually about parts of our own psyche.
House=home=body
Finding new rooms means we're are opening up to new ideas. Enjoying familiar rooms could mean that we are uncomfortable in our present circumstances and retreat to a comfortable place in our dreams.
Searching for rooms we know are there but can't find often occurs when we need to make some kind of choice and can't see the direction that the choice will take us.
Most dreams are a part of our mental level still at work when our body is trying to rest. Some dreams are just caused by bad meals.
There are no cut and dried definitions for dream meanings but with a little practice anyone can understand their dreams better.
We have a local group who works with dream interpretation. There is also some excellent information about dreams @edgarcayce.org
http://www.edgarcayce.org/dreams/freedreaminterpretation.asp
Maggie, the Cayce readings say that there is nothing that we do in the physical body that we have not dreamt about beforehand. Could easily explain why we have those feelings of Deja`vu.
I've come to connect deja`vu with important moments in my life. When I feel it, it usually means that I will soon be making a decision that will take me in a new direction.
Fenix, when I traveled a lot with my job, I often awoke not knowing where the heck I was. One time I even had a panic attack. Too many hours and too many cities in one week resulted in physical and almost mental break down.
I had been working 16 hours days and flying to 3 or more cities a week. One morning I woke up in a hotel room at the O'Hare airport. It was dark in the room and I could hear airplanes. For some reason I could not remember what city I was in, what day it was or why I was there. It took me almost an hour to get back into my "skin". That was a bit much! I finally learned that you can get jet-lag from just crossing time zones too many times even if they are only hours apart.
Needless to say, when I got home, I took some time off.

LT - I completely understand the confusion that comes with waking when on road trips. Too manycities and if you stay in hotels in the same chain, too frequently the rooms all look the same. I kind of got used to the general confusion after 4 months on a bus. Crash in one city, wake in another.

Looking through the dream interpretation I found that attics mean an exploration for your high self. Well, I've been having that damn dream since I was seven years old... just how much higher self do I have?

lol, Fenix. I think that's one of the reasons some of us did drugs. We were trying to take a short cut to our higher-self. I think most of us got there but couldn't remember the return path.
Unfortunately when the drug wore off, we found we weren't too happy with our lower-selves.
How high can we go?? Nobody knows, least not in the 3rd diminsion. But when you break thru the glass ceiling and start spending more time in the 4th dimension it just doesn't seem to matter anymore. The dream houses just have more rooms to explore.
