It's pretty depressing being 35 and knowing that you're never going to have a house or some security for the future.

Every time the salary goes up 2 percent, the rent goes up 4. There's just nothing left to save.

Anyway, I just had to post that. Maybe saying it out loud will clear out some of the depression I feel today.

I hear you loud and clear kerryann.....I dont think I will ever own my own home either. But, I am older than you, and one never knows the future, so who knows? Might hit the lottery someday...then again, I might not. Anyway...happy birthday...and cheer up. You only live once and you cant take it with you...so enjoy what you have right now. I know...empty words right now...but still, I wish you a happy day/month/year

Happy Birthday KerryAnn! Sorry to hear you're bumming about money...there does seem to be a shortage of it lately.

It sounds trite, but look for the good around you and "count your blessings". Hug a baby, smell a rose, do something nice for someone who can't repay you.

Sorry if that sounds sickenly sweet, I was sort of talking to myself a bit.

Thanks for the good wishes. I really needed to say how upset I was out loud. It's helped a bit.

Thanks again.

Happy Birthday, Kerryann!

It's hard to see the goals you may have dreamed for yourself failing to get closer as you get older. Sometimes the only answer is to find different dreams; to look for new ways to define the success you want to achieve.

I hope the second half of your thirties finds you achieving everything you want.

Happy Bday

I kinda went thru some major stuff my last birthday. I was sitting in a motel room with my kids and all of my posessions stacked around us. I had no money and no prospects.

I dreamed tho and I still dream. I dreamed I would go to school, that I would make it somehow and with a little help from friends and alot of hope on my part I'm out of that motel room and in school.

The kids there, they say what you gonna build houses? (smirk snicker) I say Yes. As a matter of fact I am going to build homes. First one will be mine. For me and my kids

I think on it and dream on it everyday, and I KNOW that next year I'll be on here and other places posting pics of every phase of my home as I build it.

Cheer up hun and have a Happy Birthday. Don't lose hope, it is a sign of the beginning of a slow death.

So HOPE and DREAM and you will have what you want.

Wishing kerryann a very Happy Birthday!!

There must be something about turning 35.

Even though (this December) that was 20 years ago for me, I distinctly remember that being the year my butt dropped.

The summer of age 34 I was still wearing short shorts.

But, the following summer at age 35, there was my darn butt hanging below my short shorts. That was when I truly felt I had lost my youth.

Maybe we will both luck out and hit a lottery...

You can buy your home with your winnings.

I will have a butt lift.

happy Birthday Kerri Ann!
Ah, to be 35 again

Please don't lose hope ... I never thought I would achieve some of my goals and I did! You never know ... they are making it easier and easier to own a home - or you can do what we did and buy a townhouse or even a condo. Set the goal and put your heart into it and you will reach it. IF a home of your own is important - then keep trying.
It helps me when I feel depressed to think of all the people in the world that have it so much worse off than I do. I have a roof over my head and food to eat and family and friends (that sort of thing) ... it may help you.

I wish you happiness

Oh my gosh!!!!!!!

This is like, so wrong! I have been preached at by the person who is trying (even now) to drive me insane..... more times than I can count.

It is the most manipulative and sinister of things.

Artdog, get a grip. ONLY the most powerful manipulators can get by with speaking foul and then preaching the WORD.

It's ugly and it makes me sick. I am asking, nay begging you to stop it.

because God loves me and I am saved by grace, God put me in a body and he made me a woman, thank god he did! But his promise ring true and anybody who believes in him does not perish, but has everlasting life, life to go on, life to conquer, power for living daily life, and if you speak life to your bones, you will have life and you will have life more abundantly. God took a tiny basket of fish and feed the multitudes, a grain the size of a mustard seed moves mountains, GET UP OFF THE COUCH and declare to the universe you are going to have a house, speak it everday, even if you don't feel like it or believe it, do it and YOU WILL HAVE A HOUSE.

Ain't nothing ugly about. God says on your best day your good deeds are but filthy rags in his nostrils. God sends the rain on the rightous and the unrightous, he is no respector of persons. He said "come as you are". I believe in him, he believes in me and loves me. He invented breasts didn't he?

I am pretty sure it was Kurt Cobain who said "Come As You Are"

Now I really DO feel like a cowboy! Here's those lyrics!

Come as you are, as you were,
As I want you to be
As a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy
Take your time, hurry up
The choice is your, don't be late
Take a rest as a friend as an old memoria

Come dowsed in mud, soaked in bleach
As I want you to be
As a trend, as a friend, as an old memoria

And I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun

Yes Cheyenne! but I think God was a wee bit ahead on the slogan, yet still, same universal truth, man can never acheive perfection on his own, gee, God must be pretty cool to just take us as we are, to me, only a GOD could possibly do that.
