I was pulling for USC tonight. And I, novice that I am, felt strongly that the team should NOT go for that fourth down right at the end of the game but instead should have kicked the ball so Texas would have had farther to go for that danged touchdown. What do you think?

Yeah Longhorns, I was going to post last night and rub it in but thought I better not. It was a good game and I sure thought SC was going to win but Texas pulled it out in last seconds. Both teams were great, but glad Texas won, I would be plum UN Texan if I thought otherwise.

Yes, Mingo, I thought the same thing. Either that or I was going to have to type up ANOTHER Greek history lesson!

Replay, your history lessons are fascinating (to me anyway). All it takes is someone like you (and Prof, Fenix, etc.) to spark an interest in learning more about the history of religion. There's so many different avenues to take - I can see why you're majoring in it.

Kraftdinner: My new knee is doing just beautifully, thank you! What a great surgery this can be. I won't be at all afraid if I ever have to have the other knee replaced.

KD, you're right. The more I learn, the more I find there is to learn. This is really a bottomless subject. Languages, history, philosophy, psychology, archaeology, art. Religion has it all.
I just wish I'd have started 20 years sooner. It's gonna be hard at my age to get a good start in the field.
