So.... tonight is the biggest TV night is recent memory.
American Idol - Elimination Show
Dancing With the Stars - Final Dance Night
Survivor
Olympics - Finals of Womens Skate

So - what are you watching... what are you recording?

Me... I'll be recording American Idol, recording the replay of the skate and then do the no commercial or blathering version of of Dancing w the Stars. I'll watch something else (probably Olyimpic Ice from USA that just finished recording) for the first half hour or so, then go to the recording and fast forward thru the junk while the rest is recording. I love my DVR

Since I have a 6am flight I'll probably end up going thru all the recordings tonight. It's just easier for me to still be up at 4am than to get up at 4am.

I've never seen an episode of American Idol, Survivor or Dancing With the Stars. I'm just not into "reality shows."

I watch: Lost and Battlestar Galactica, as well as Stargate SG-1 (only cause it's on right after BSG). That's it. Once in a great while I'll watch the CSI version (I never can remember which one) that has Vincent D'Onofrio in it. He's funny!

True, school keeps me too busy for most TV, but I didn't watch much TV even before that. I'd rather pick a movie on DVD that I want to watch on my schedule or read a book or something.

TV is just too passive, and run by idiots who want to control every bit of society.

I'm starting to get the same feeling about Internet message boards. They waste WAY too much time that I just cannot spare... But I have to keep checking to see what's new.

I will be watching the news and then American Idol and then skating while I unpack more boxes, polish some silver and sort and price some more jewelry and catch up on some e-mails. Today I finally finished painting (I think)....... life is good.

Dbl - VERY cute commercial. Just can't imagine that some stick up their butt parents group isn't protesting it though.

You should watch Idol. There are is a wide array of styles this year and a couple true talents. Most of the time you get really good singers that after going through the process for a a few months on the show become great singers but this year, there are a couple that are great now. Can't wait to see what happens to them along the way.

My favs are the two younguns. There is Lisa, a 16 year old that is kind of a straight forward R&B pop singer with a strong raspy bluesy voice and Paris, a 17 year old that can flat out belt it. She's got this tiny little mousy speaking voice but when she sings, she got it all, she can do old Ella type jazz (I want to hear her scat so bad it hurts), she can do blues, pop... And she has personality and presence. That little girl is going places no matter what happens on the show. I also like Mandisa. At first I thought I liked her for a strong R&B voice and the way she handled Simon with such class after he really insulted her but the other night she belted out Heart and anyone that can do Heart and not have to constrain the levels has my respect.

Krafty - who do you think is leaving tonight? I vote for David Radford (the crooner guy), Gideon McKinney (did Shout and had the really annoying speaking style), Stevie Scott (the opera trained one with the tiny voice - which makes no sense to me) and I hope Brenna just because she is so freaking annoying.

Who are your favs? I already mentioned my famale favs, my male faves are Ace (yummy! And he has a voice), Elliot, Sway (the falsetto bugged the hell out of me last night, but I give him credit for actually being able to do it), Chris and Bucky. I think watching the Bucky style transformation will be fun. I love Taylor Hicks' singing but his antics make me cringe.

Yawn. I'd rather chew my right arm off than watch a reality show. Not into Women's Skating, but might watch the daily Olympic highlights or read a good book if there isn't a good movie or UK drama on. None of my friends in TV production will watch reality shows either unless they have too (at work). There are no production values...

Oh yawn...life is such a bore for those of us who are sooooooo superior...how do we ever manage to make it through the day..

I was flipping between Survivor, Olympics and Idol. Enjoying the heck out of watching all the valueless productions.

Hey agitprop, do you get a lot of nosebleeds holding your nose so far up in the air?

And Classy, if it doesn't have a generous sprinkling of T&A, it doesn't make it into your realm of interest, does it.

Looks like reality shows are a gal thing.

I like all the above as well as The Apprentice, starting Monday night, & am anxiously waiting for the return of Hell's Kitchen. If you missed it first time around then give it a try when it cames back.

I've been missing Idol & all the others & am even forgetting to record them because I'm so caught up with the Olympics.

Number 1 for me is Survivor. I certainly didn't miss that tonight.

fenix, yah, they'd probably protest the word penis, like the biological body part it is, makes it dirty or something. Or maybe the fact that somebody's kicking somebody? As if kids dont see that everywhere and which way? I was watching some old cartoons the day and they were violent and subliminally obscene -- you know all that dropping 40 pound weights on the road runner and sh* popeye said to olive oil? Even my husb said that they would say barney is gay, but he is just entertaining kids, cant kids even have fantasy anymore without it being gay? What is wrong with that anyway?

Ive watched idol b4. I just dont follow it. Not because I dont think its not good or whatever, just distracted by other things around here.

I don't watch tv except for Larry King and the odd decorating show. I can never sit long enough to watch anything, but I'd love to join you in watching me and Double fight, Pi. I'll try to get her going on the other thread. (Don't tell her my intentions.)

I don't usually watch reality shows. I hate the Survivor, Bachelor. etc shows. I enjoyed the first Apprentice but then I was done. Idol I like simply for the music value. I like watching the growth of the singers over the season. (I was 1 for 4 on my pics all of my pics were in the final 3 ... I had it close).

I think the part of the olympics I have enjoyed the most has been USAs Olympic Ice. It's not just informative but it's got great humor. Mary Carillo has been really funny, Dick Button has been surprisingly humorous, and those crazy cannucks from the last olympics have been very toungue in cheek. Nothing quite stranger than watching an olympic champion demonstrating how one pisses in a cup for a drug test.

I watched Dancing with the Stars off and on because Master P was such a train wreck you couldn't not watch. Stacy just makes me mad. That woman has legs up to my arm pits.

:: Once in a great while I'll watch the CSI version (I never can remember which one) that has Vincent D'Onofrio in it.::

D'Onofrio is on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Appparently he has lived up to his lifelong reputation as a pain in the butt. That's why they are now switching episodes between him and Chris Noth & Anabella Sciorra. ON top of the obvious draw of the return of Noth it was a warning to D'Ofofrio that he is replacable. (although why anyone working in that series would think they are not is a mystery - none original cast members of the original series are still there.

asleep at 8, didn't watch anything....hardly ever do unless Lost and Invasion aren't reruns. I can't figure out how those shows have so many repeats when they hardly ever show anything NEW to begin with...

If I ever said I was leaving the RT, maybe was twice. So what are you keeping track of my every written word too? What I recall saying was when I do leave for real it wont ever be announced.

Which explains why I couldn't remember which CSI he's on- LOL! But in my opinon, he's NOT replaceable. As I said, I watch it cause he's in it, and he's just insane sometimes (at least you wonder if he's insane). All those others are just 'cop shows' to me.

Those of you who are watching Idol, any early predictions on who will win?

Who's your favorites so far?

I like the two tiny little Black girls, the guy with the gray hair, and the bald rocker guy, and the ugly guy with the teeth going in all directions....then there is the pretty boy..

I had a feeling Stevie would get the boot first but I was surprised that Becky did but they're right, she will probably make a better model than singer. Brenna IS 'freaking annoying' just as Fenix says and I don't like Heather as she sounds weak to me and has no personality. I was glad to see Bobby go as he was annoying also. I wonder how long Kevin will stay around?

In no special order I think for the guys it will be Ace, Chris, Elliot and Taylor. For the girls it will be Katharine, Paris, Lisa and Kellie.

Their pics are here.

Used to watch Stargate

Have been watching Dancing with Stars

Your right Fenix, I am so surprised that 'Master P' was in it so long, he didn't even try, while all the others were busting their asses all week long, those dances are hard!!

So for the winner, I hope its Drew (his sister in law is Jessica Simpson) Drew has tried the hardest, and does very well. Stacey, well your right, her legs are long LOL! And I don't want her to win, Drew should.

No Survivor, or the others.
