We should have never went there in the first place. We should have finished the job in Afghanistan, kept our eyes on Iraq, N Korea, Iran, etc. while getting our borders secured, our emergency preparedness in order, and finally... bringing Bin Laden to justice. Instead, we've wasted 5 years, lost thousands of American lives while killing another 25,000+ innocent civilians in Iraq, squandored our budget surplus, plunged our country into massive debt, and proved we have no plan for a National Emergency, let alone a regional crisis.

The biggest problem in Iraq is that nobody is in charge. Not enough American troops to secure Iraq now. Bush's plan hasn't worked. American Generals want Iraqi forces to solve the problem... If this last attack doesn't rock the boat, you better believe the next one will and we are not prepared for that, let alone what is going on next door in Iran. All hell is about to break lose and it is our military who is in the middle of it. I'm sure glad Bush is in charge though... His tough words will make all the difference in the world. It has so far. What a joke.

Bush's plan hasn't worked.
You mean there was a <gasp> plan!
I thought it was supposed to be a quick affair: straight in to locate and secure WMD and straight out again. (Or was that Gulf War I under Bush Senior?)
Civil War is good for a country.
Damn right. Certainly put them Southerners in there place, so those Northern carbetbaggers could buy up everything cheap. Too bad about Atlanta being burned...
At least all divisions within the Continential USA have healed since the conflict ended over a hundred years ago.

I do believe they all need a few classes in anger management. LOL
----------------
But I think what we're going to do is step back/aside....not leave...and see just how well their newly formed gov. can deal with this problem. And how well their military/police forces can deal with getting this calmed down.
It's AQ that's creating all this upset....and to pull out now...will just let him win. We surely don't want to do that.

Not just the military....they've called for a daytime curfew for ALL ...saying if you don't need to be out...then stay inside.
It's too soon to call it a
'civil war' anyway. Try thinking positively....their clerics may convince them to ALL calm down...

I feel like a winner everyday this goes on.
We should have our soldiers back away for a week or two and mop up with bull-dozers when it's over.
