With this investigation going on, it is time to bring the troops home. It appears the bleeders are winning the war they want and we can't bind our brave young men and women with the bleeders lack of knowledge of war or how to conduct one.
I say being them home now and let the bleeders take over Iraq, make it perfectly clear it is now their responsibility for Iraq and anything that now happens there.

Thank you troops for doing your jobs.

If the USA pulls out now, it'll mean that President Jeb Bush will have to invade Iraq during his term. The idea was to prevent a radical Islamic bloc (Syria, Iraq, and Iran) from being created that would destabilize the entire region. Unfortunately Iran will have probably obtained some nuclear devices from North Korea or the former Soviet Union (many are unaccounted for).

Agit - I don't see Jeb ever getting to the White House. There's this little matter of a stripper formerly on his staff payroll and the whole Terri Shiavo issue that will keep him from that office. I think he comes across as much more "human" than his brother and his command of spanish would be a big help but I just don't see it happening.

I think it is time for our brave soldiers to come home too. They don't deserve to be treated like criminals. That video of those kids talking was hog wash rehersed and possibly outright crap, the girl even said she was expecting the bomb to go off- that was indication right there they knew about the bomb before they were raided.. I never heard of a war where there was NOT some casualties of innocent people. They are killing their own people more than we ever could. I say get out and let them kill themselves all they want. You will never change them their ideas or their customs culture or anything else...

It just pi$$es me off severely when our soldiers are picked apart for doing their jobs. I am disgusted those a$$hole senators think the soldiers should politly knock on a door and ask are you the enemy that just blew up my buddy in a weak timid voice???? or are being shot at and not? return fire like the Kabul incident riot crap.

EWWWW got my blood to boiling. At a war you can't expect a teaparty....

Don't get me wrong I don't think innocent women or children should be killed or victims in a war but I have never seen one yet that it didn't happen. WE do not know whole story and probably will never know the real truth.. But I will not degrade or put our soldiers down for being trained to kill and then doing their job and not asking permission in the heat of gunfire or bombs.

Irked - the "#*!@ senators" have been briefed by senior military members who believe that the actions were possibly unwarranted but not being investigated.

You know how you avoid excessive unwarranted deaths? You call those that are responsible for them to the mat. You don't excuse them all and say, oh well, that's war. When you kill 15 people for no aparent reason, you don't sweep it under the mat.

You bring it to light, you take a good look at it and you find out why it happened and if unwarranted, you hold those responsible, responsible for their actions.

There is a big different between supporting the military and supporting murder. Doesn't the fact that the seargent in charge lied about the number of people killed, lied about being involved in a firefight in the house, and lied and said that some of those killed were killed in a bomb explosion tell you that maybe this is not some innocent mistake?

You know irked you have it right.

In the heat of battle sht happens and that is just the way it is. Our people are not criminals and this crap of treating them so is BS. Investigate them while they are all at home.

I for myself would like to see more reports about the good our troops are doing, what their day is like how they cope with all the uncertainty and how they miss their families. Lets see more how they are ambushed and how they cope with that. How little children come up and ask for things are given whatever the soldier has on him and then the kid runs off calling him names or worse wanting help leads them into a trap..
My son's best friend just came home in January and told some most atrosious stories you would ever want to hear about all the dangers they face every single moment they are over there FROM the so called innocent victims of war. He said there are more people over there that would cut your throat than there are ones who appreciate their freedom. A pure hell hole in his opinion.
He also said the civil unrest has nothing to do with military but with different factions over there and the USA military is in the middle as a prize. Can't talk about a lot he told me but surfice it to say yall just don't know the half of this stuff happening to our own troops by those innocent victims over there.

To take the edge off go here and turn on your speakers. Very nice presentation. url

Irked - does any of that justify killing 15 people and then lying to supeiors and making up false reports to cover it up?

Personally, I would like to see them all come home. We are NEVER going to be able to fix the problems in Iraq. We are a dividing entity there.

And I am so sick and tired of conservatives talking about how we "never hear about what the soldiers go thru". We hear it every day. We hear every day about attacks from insurgents, roadside bombs, ambush attacks. What is it that you think we are not hearing?

These men did wrong and they deserve to be called on it just as every member of our military that is over there and going thru hell and staying true to their code and mission deserves to be lauded and respected. To treat them both with the same level of respect and regard, in my opinion, is a slap in the face to those who continue to do right.

I never said don't call them to mat for it, I just think they run some things into the ground when we don't hear about calling the Iraqs to the mat for doing same thing to their own people. Get them home first then dicipline the hell out of the wrong doers. I just don't agree that making such a big deal before the investigation is finished is right and to take things out of context of the situation.

Irked - we do see info about them going after Iraqis doing harm to others Iraqis. Isn't that what our mission there has become? Our troops are not being met on the battlefield, they are being lured into traps while trying erridicate those that are attacking innocents. But what if they are attacking the innocents just to set the traps to get to our troops?

I don't think this is being taken out of context when even the Marine Corps is saying these men were out of line.

I think the problem is that the longer we keep these guys there, the more we open up the possibility of these things happening. It's got to be hell to keep going in and seeing your friends killed, seeing people you are charged with protecting expressing a lack of appreciation. Of course people are going to crack. We don't have the resources to send in fresh blood and we can't be sending people back for four and five tours to fight a battle that is not winable.

What is the win? That we kill everyone that disagrees with what we want the country to believe in? That is not instilling freedom.
At some point in time we have to admit that we cannot dictate the mindset of a nation. Attempting to do so is staging an occupation, not a liberation.

Fenix I agree with your concept, I just don't agree with the way that some of the congressmen are acting towards a lot of this stuff. I had just watched the report the other day when I got on here and was still seething so probably said things in heat of moment, I am known as a hot head at times. LOL .. I most definately know we can't change their minds and should not attempt to do so except for human rights part. I too think this is a war that is a no win situation. I just hope they don't drag it out like the Vietman war was. We will never get the different factions over there to see eye to eye so to say and personally I believe we need to get out now.

That whole area over there hates the USA and nothing good is coming of our staying. Their resentment and hatred of us is probably getting worse, look at the incident in Afghanistan recently, all the people talked to wanted the troops to go home.

It really is a vicious circle over there. This is one time I am glad I am too old to be called up. Not that I would not do it just what a waste of our time money and most importantly lives.
