NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON – President Bush has lined up a Wall Street heavyweight as chief spokesman for the economy. He's Henry Paulson Jr., who has been running finance powerhouse Goldman Sachs - and as the designated next Treasury secretary, he'll have a big job ahead of him.

Makes sense to me. I sure want someone that knows what the heck is going on when it comes to finances. Experience is everything.

You know... what I really want in a Treasury Secretary is someone that has no grip on the ecocomy, economics, or the workings of Wall Street. I can't believe that someone would actually hire a guy with a long established history of success and understanding of the different factors that dictate the health and value of the US dollar and the value of our treasury holdings. Why on earth would anyone consider hiring someone with real world financial experience to oversee a financial position? What the hell were he thinking?

Hey Peepa - this is another one of those examples of times that you take an absolutly ridiculous stance which detracts from the (unfortunately very few) legitimate stances you take. When you complain about every single thing a person does, no one listens when you bring up things that are legitimately wrong.

I don't complain about what people in general do. I only complain about what DUMBO BUSH and his gang of CROOKS do. I really don't see that bunch doing any good for the majority of Americans.
Do you really think I give a rats azz about what greedy conservative posters think about me. I believe you know better than that. You and they both know I find self-serving conservative greed repulsive.
Conservatives have put this country in mess after mess and are now running scared and are showing it. Two conservatives lawmakers today can't even agree on crossing the street together much less running a country.
An example of conservative desperation is Bush bringing up the old washed up same sex marriage routine. He and everyone else knows the Constitution won't be amended or changed. Its just a failed leaders act of desperation looking for a few votes for the failed conservative lawmakers.
I will say again does anyone really believe Mr. Wall Street will worry about the average American?
Has Bush and his GANG worried about the average American so far?
COME AND JOIN THE GREAT AMERICAN PROTEST ON NOVEMBER 7th 2006. THE MAJORITY CAN RUN THIS COUNTRY AGAIN.

Now having said that. I hammer and expose phony self-serving greedy conservatives hard.
Since these phony people are unable to admit their mistakes they vent and I am their fall guy.
Their posts just makes me work harder to help defeat these people's form of Government starting on November 7th 2006.

When the right loses the congress, do you plan to take full credit for their defeat?
Are you aware that Paulsen is considered by many on the right to be too radical in his environmentalist views? Have you looked at the culture of social and environmental activism he developed at Goldman Sachs? I suspect not. By virtue of your rantings on this board, I'd bet if Bush appointed Bill Clinton to a cabinet post, you'd be bitching about that too.

Sorry to tell you this but yes I am very active in getting votes against this FAILED conservative form of government. Votes I am getting come from outside this board.
This board only helps me put together little pamphlets showing what conservatives are really like and what they say. I hand out these pamphlets during my business day. The pamphlets expose the conservative LIES,GREED AND CORRUPTION.
I am proud of the millions of people all across this country that are fed up with DUMBO BUSH and HIS CONSERVATIVE GANG OF GREEDY LIARS AND THIEVES. People just like me that are committed to a better America.

What exactly do you consider my "side" Peepa? If you think that because I happen to be willing to consider one of Bush's appointees a possibly good choice that I am therefore a neoconservative, you've got your head farther up your butt than I ever imagined.
During the early days of the Iraq invasion, the Bush supporters here and throughout the country adopted a rabid "with us or against us, you're either a Bush supporter or you're the enemy" attitude. That attitude was decried here and around the country by people who felt that they still had a right to free thought and expression of opinion in spite of who's in the White House. It was decried here by YOU as well as many of us. Now, you're attitude is sadly the same towards anyone who isn't foaming at the mouth at the same drip rate as you. Fenix is right, this is a prime example of why you have no credibility here, and I don't imagine you have any with the poor chumps you're proselytizing to at home either.
I voted for Democrats in the last election, and plan to do the same this time around. Unless there's a Republican, Green, Nazi or Socialist I happen to like better.
Feel free to put yourself on a side, but don't pigeonhole the rest of us thank you very much.

Yes Peepa because truth be told, the treasury department cannot do one thing for middle income citizens and another for high income citizens.
If you believe differently then please state specifically what it is you think that could be.
You see you are huge on rhetoric but when asked to cite specifics, you avoid them at all costs. Prove that you have a clue what you are talking about. Give us examples. I don't know Peepa. too me it sounds like Prof is a free thinking voter who judges people on their individual merits and stances on issues. call me kooky but that sounds a hell of a lot more responsible than voting for one party simply because it's NOT the other party or prejudging a person you know nothing about simply because of who appointed him to the job.
That's just blind prejudice and it serves no one.
What happens if in the next election you get a conservative presidential candidate that believes in closed bordeer lock down immigration policy such as you are constantly screaming for and a Dem that supports an open border policy. Are you going to vote for someone that supports a policy that you claim is an attack on the middle class or the conservative that shares identical beliefs to you?

In Pa in November I am going to vote against every republican I can. I am not going to forget the republicans that locked stepped alongside BUSH and voted for his policies.
As far as Bush appointees go. I don't have to know the men and women that DUMBO BUSH appoints. I have watched Bush and his GANG lie and deceive for over 5 years now. I have seen and felt the harm Bush and his gang has done to America.
ANYONE BUSH APPOINTS WOULD NOT BE ANYONE I WOULD WANT IN A LEADERSHIP POSITION.

He is very right leaning Democrat and could see him actually switching parties if the tone was right.
