I thought I remembered you saying you were once a Marine, tom.
Unless I'm taking your happiness incorrectly....why would you think it's great this ship is 'stuck in the mud'??????
After all.....
"It became one of New York's major tourist attractions, drawing some 700,000 visitors a year. It also supports a Fallen Heroes Fund that has provided $14 million to aid families of service members killed and wounded in the line of duty and built a $35 million advanced training facility for disabled veterans."
Is THAT a BAD thing in YOUR mind? Or am I taking your 'three cheers' incorrectly?
It also says:
""The Intrepid stands for everything we believe in ... our freedom and our values," Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said at the sendoff ceremony before the tugs began their work.
The Intrepid serves as a living memorial to the arms services, a tourist attraction that draws hundreds of thousands people a year and, if the need arises, will become as an emergency operation center for city and federal authorities. The FBI used it as an operation center after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks."

I just couldn't 'get' why he appear so happy about it. NOW I understand. Thanks classic

See Linda, UNLIKE the warmongering cowards in the DUMBO ADMINSTRATION, I actually served my country during wartime -- would you like to see the THREE HONORABLE DISCHARGES? (USCG; NH AIR NATIONAL GUARD; USNR)...
Unlike Traitor Dick: "I had better things to do!"
Unlike the great Cowardly Coke-head Cowboy: the WARTIME DESERTER
Unlike Dummy Rummy: "Hey suckers! I got 5 deferments!"
What a crew of scumbag TRAITORS -- right, ya LOON?
BTW: I'm a PATRIOT and I'm pretty proud of my MILITARY SERVICE...At least I believe in the CONSTITUTION & BILL OF RIGHTS & RULE OF LAW...

Good post, Tom!
Max Cleland sums up the combat experience at the White House during an appearance in Pennsylvania....
Former senator Max Cleland (D-GA), the victim of one of the worst smear jobs in the history of elected politics in our country, came onstage to a round of rousing applause. The man has led an incredible life after the Vietnam War, and his fighting spirit is still alive and well. He took numerous shots at the Republicans, noting that after Cheney had shot someone, "he was the only one with combat experience in the White House."

Thank you for your service to our Nation, Tom. I have a lot of respect for all who do so.
And this President was one of them. He served and received an HONORABLE discharge....not given to the likes of cowards, desserters like clinton. running off to england to avoid serving AT ALL.
Try telling the truth. His service doesn't matter SINCE clinton's not serving didn't bother the lefties.

Linda never has understood the difference between "running off to England" and being a Rhodes Scholar. The Rhodes Fellowship is the oldest and most prestigious scholarship in the world, awarded to only about 90 students each year. Bill Clinton won a Rhodes Fellowship and studied at Oxford in 1968-70.

Rhodes Scholar?
Well, hell, Prof! Dumbo was a scholar too -- a Commodes Scholar!
After swilling all that Jim Beam at Yale, ya better believe he became a highly dis-respected scholar of da commode -- here's a candid pic of his post-graduate alma mater:

Again, profe, YOU don't speak FOR ME.
I completely understand the dems lack of ability to see that he 'ran off' to avoid serving. Anyone who's read his HISTORY....DOCUMENTED fully about HOW and why he avoided the draft...KNOWS the truth.
And they also know it totally proves what we've said about his lack of ethics/character/and how scumbucket TRAITORS act when they decide they don't need to keep THEIR PROMISES made to other.....so that he was INSTEAD allowed to 'run to england'.
He wouldn't have gone there....had he not LIED.
And when there...he was himself a WAR PROTESTOR.
Big bill.....protesting against his OWN country from england. Yep....that says a TON about his lack of character.
I totally understand WHY the dems supported his NOT serving....they don't support our military at all.

I'll put it another way, profe.
YOU don't have a CLUE as to what I do or don't understand. But you believe you have the 'right' to tell others what I don't understand.
That IS a round about way of speaking for me. No matter your denial.
"Linda never has understood the difference between "running off to England" and being a Rhodes Scholar."
I have LONG been aware of clintons LIE to the gentleman who recommend he be ALLOWED to leave this country, RATHER THAN face being drafted....as where OTHER American MEN.
NOT traitors....not America's who went to canada or england and spoke out AGAINST THEIR OWN COUNTRY.
That's sure no patriot. It's a TRAITOR to his own country. And a COWARD who didn't WANT to be drafted.
And a liar to boot. He LIED to this gentleman he's PROMISED to return to the ROTC program IF he'd recommend him for classes in england.
So....I've understood for years what a coward YOUR guy was. It's not a matter of 'not understanding'. It's a matter of LACK OF ETHICS and you all GLADLY excuse every unethical thing this jerk did.
You don't need to tell ME and other posters what **I** understand and what I don't.
You're NOT a mind reader...you're JUST a grade school teacher who supports illegal immigration and supports mexico on most of the differences our Nation has with them. And a liberal/dem to boot.

Sure...that's real easy profe. You're posting what YOU believe I do or don't understand. Which is nonsense because you wouldn't have a CLUE what I DO understand about clinton.
You, on the other hand have POSTED your OPINIONS about the things I mentioned....so I'm NOT GUESSING at what you do or don't UNDERSTAND.
======================
Classic - short answer is after AVOIDING the draft as best he could, for as LONG as he could.....he drew a number where it was unlikely he would be called.
Long answer...with all the FACTS....just to a google search using 'bill clinton avoided the draft' and you'll see much proof ....not just people saying so...but actual proof of his avoidance during those years...and the people who helped him avoid service. And his OWN written words about why he DIDN'T want to serve...why, in England, he PROTESTED our war and was working towards becoming, and supported those who were, DRAFT DODGERS.
But....in the interest of time [for me, spent searching it all again] read this blog....one poster in particular has document much of what occurred.

And this gentlemen didn't realized he was predicting the future of clinton's INACTIONS against terrorism at the time, but 9-11 was the result of same.
September 7, 1992:
Col. Eugene Holmes, USA Ret., signs a notarized statement in which he asserts that "there is the imminent danger to our country of a draft dodger becoming Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States." He later writes that "I believe that he (Clinton) purposefully deceived me, using the possibility of joining the ROTC as a ploy to work with the draft board to delay his induction and get a new draft reclassification."

Uh-huh, you've never posted anything about Clinton here, so I'm just guessing in the dark about what you understand about him, right?
I've posted here about illegal immigration and have never stated that I "support" it. I certainly have never posted enough for you to logically and rationally come to the conclusion that I "support mexico on most of the differences our Nation has with them." That one you've pulled straight out of you hat, or some other sort of container.
It's amazing how people's words here have a meaning that only you are able to divine. Do the voices in your head explain to you what we really mean?

Several who have posted here have mentioned to both you and fenix that your allegiance appears to favor mexico....when there is a conversation about the two of them.
So you just go on believing whatever makes you happy.
And when you speak for what I "understand" I'll call you on it.

It's the voices, Linda. No one else heard the same message that you did.
I'm hoping that those voices will soon tell you that it's time to go elsewhere so that we can put away our hip boots and nose clips and ear plugs and enjoy this board.
I think that it's admirable that Fenix and Profe have an interest in Mexico. Most reasonable people would recognize that an interest in another country does not diminish the responsibity and allegiance that you have to the country in which you reside. I have an interest in Russia because I like Russian literature. And I have an interest in France and Canada. I've never traveled to Mexico but I would like to some day.

Those are just more words that only your "voices" have whispered to you, Linda.
Like the quote that you posted yesterday which was a lie....
Like the feelings that you have ascribed to Fenix and Profe, in an effort to deny their allegiance to this country....
Like all the thoughts that you have ascribed to Kiara which are not true....
NOTHING that you say has a scintilla of credibility. Even your copy pastes from Right Wing RAGS are filled with lies and spin.
As far as posting when you are around, I don't enjoy it and of course no one else enjoys chatting with you. Why do you believe that you are generally left alone?

Linda, are you trying to tell us all you're better than us? Is your attitude the same one Bush had when he said he would unite the 2 parties? At what point do you offer solutions instead of c&p articles? Wouldn't that be a small way to help bridge the gap, or, like Bush, isn't that a priority?
