More than four years into the war in Iraq, the Coalition death toll has topped 3,400 and estimated civilian fatalities stand at more than 64,000.

EVERYTHING IS CRUMBLING AROUND BUSHY AND HIS STEADFAST REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS.

So, have the dems found their backbone yet? And have they cut off funding for both wars yet? LOL Not hearing anything except their actions that will do NOTHING to end the wars.

tsk tsk tsk

Can't ever count on them to do what they say they're going to do IF IF IF you elected them. LOL

It's been proven now that the government cannot take care of the injured troops who have returned home and it hasn't been able to properly take care of those from previous wars so why would anyone want more endless war, knowing that there will be more that won't be taken care of?

So much for supporting the troops, eh? They're being used as mere fodder in a desperate attempt to make Bush not look like the loser that most already know he is.

Yep....but you KNOW that she's only here when she needs to sit down and get a bite to eat. LOL Least that's what she's said for years now.

And notice also that she NEVER mentions the Canadian troops that are fighting right along side of us in Afghanistan. Good thing Canada has many citizens that don't hold her 'world view' and are supporting what the US is doing there - agree that fighting the taliban IS necessary.

Never any mention of why the party she sides with is so GUTLESS either. lol

Surge is 'so far, so good'

By Eric Pfeiffer
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Published March 19, 2007

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates, who has won high praise from Democrats for his frankness in discussing Iraq and other issues, says President Bush's Iraq troop surge is still in its early stages, but is proceeding as planned, with Iraqis meeting their share of the commitment.

"I think that the way I would characterize it is 'so far, so good,' " Mr. Gates said yesterday during an appearance on CBS' "Face the Nation." "It's very early. ... But I would say that the Iraqis are meeting the commitments that they have made to us, that they have made the appointments, the troops that they have promised are showing up."

Meanwhile, National Security Adviser Stephen J. Hadley described the various Iraq resolutions being considered by Democrats in Congress as mandating defeat.

"The only question is timing," Mr. Hadley said during an appearance on ABC's "This Week." "And in any event, it's an arbitrary schedule. They come out without regard to progress on the ground against the enemy. And the problem is, that is mandating failure, and that is forfeiting the sacrifice we have made in Iraq."

Mr. Hadley also said Democrats were being disingenuous in pushing for a bill they know President Bush will veto.

"The president has said he will veto it if it passes. That is clear to the Democrats in the Congress," he said. "Our plea is, let's not go through this charade. Let's have the Congress present to the president a responsible bill that gives General [David] Petraeus and the men and women in uniform the funding they need and the flexibility they need to get the job done."

Mr. Gates' positive comments carry added weight because he has been praised by leading lawmakers in both parties for his openness in discussing the challenges faced in Iraq and other military matters.

California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, one of the leading Democrats on military issues, called Mr. Gates a "breath of fresh air" after his response to poor conditions reported at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

"They are allowing operations in all neighborhoods. There is very little political interference with military operations," Mr. Gates said of the Iraqi government's cooperation. "So here, at the very beginning, the commitments that have been made seem to be being kept."

Despite Mr. Gates' upbeat remarks, Rep. John P. Murtha, chairman of the Appropriations defense subcommittee, said the administration could not be trusted on Iraq.

"Here's the problem: They've mismanaged this war," the Pennsylvania Democrat told CNN's "Late Edition." "They talk about us micromanaging. They've mismanaged the war so badly, they put the commanders in impossible positions."

Mr. Murtha also disputed reports of cooperation by Iraqi security forces. "There's only 50 percent of them showing up. That's the problem. They said 86 percent in the first couple weeks of this redeployment, and now it's only 50 percent of them showing up."

A resolution calling for a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq pushed by Senate Democrats failed to win the majority of votes last week. Nonetheless, Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts Democrat, one of the resolution's co-authors, told "Fox News Sunday" the 48-vote total was a positive development. It would have needed 60 to overcome procedural hurdles and move to a vote on the resolution itself.
"Last summer when I brought that resolution to the floor, I got 13 votes. Forty-eight to 13. That is an enormous change in a very short time," Mr. Kerry said. "And what we've learned in the great fights of the Senate and historically in this country is you have to keep fighting. You keep trying."

Mr. Kerry, the Democrat's 2004 presidential nominee, who originally voted for the resolution giving President Bush authority to invade Iraq, recently announced he would not seek his party's nomination again in 2 years.

But it was the well respected GATES who gave that news to the world.....not I.

Try and get someone to help explain what you're reading to you.

One quickie little post by me before bed last night when I'd been gone for a couple of days and the clueless would rather insult and keep track of how often I post here than face the truth of troops being slaughtered or injured and then abandoned by their government. No wonder they have little reality of the consequences of their 'loser' leader's war.

Selective memory, Linda_K? I've mentioned many times that Afghanistan was the right war and Iraq the wrong war. Bush chose the wrong war and almost abandoned Afghanistan because he thought bin Laden wasn't important. Since you agree with your leader all the way I hope you realize that when bin Laden bankrupts America you will no longer be living the life that you now are. Scary, eh?

Never any mention of why the party she sides with is so GUTLESS either. lol

Selective memory again, Linda_K. I don't support any party as I have no faith in any of them. The whole political system is corrupt with Bush and his government the most corrupt ever.

Or Liar_K you can tell your good news BULL ROAR to the wounded war Vet below.

03/20/07 AP: Wounded Iraq war veteran to speak at Lincoln rally
A National Guardsman who was wounded in Iraq will be the featured speaker at a peace rally in Lincoln today. Terry Ricketts was wounded in 2005 when his unit was ambushed by Iraqi insurgents.

Liar_K and others of her kind have become more desperate as time goes along. They know its just a matter of a short time before Bushy is retired living in the disgrace of a failed war and Presidency.

While classic wrote his last show of stupidity the Pentagon released the names of 7 more dead American Troops in THE BUSH WAR.

classic wrote, "b-b-but I thought you said you were a "groaner"..........or was that a "screamer"???"

3/20/07 Another day in THE BUSH IRAQ WAR starting its 5th year.

03/20/07 MCT: 32 bodies found in Baghdad
Iraqi police found 32 dead bodies throughout Baghdad today. One corpse was found on the eastern side of Baghdad (Risafa) and the other 31 corpses were found on the western side of Baghdad (Karkh)...

classic, I suppose you think your are funny. I have said this before your easy and a light weight. While you post faces your fellow Americans are dying in the war the guy you voted for started without cause.

Liar_K, I have asked you several times, I challenge you to disprove any statistic I post about THE BUSH IRAQ WAR.

Your problem is you can't you failure and coward.

All the problems, frustrations and disappointments you are feeling are self inflected. You voted for our commander and failure twice I didn't.

I can understand how downtrodden and isolated you must feel. It was live and learn time for the new-con crowd.

Classic just keeps posting that photo of his wife with the big mouth stretched from her occupation and linduh can do nothing but drool after classic and post one line insults.

I think they're finally realizing what tremendous losers they are and what losers they support.

I haven't read one line from them in defense of all the corruption coming out of this administration unless it's linduh and her canned "bush is god" speech.

Liar_k, just keeps going BLAH BLAH.

I just think its so funny how EVERYTHING Liar_k has bragged about BUSHY and his GANG has come back to slap her.

Both classic and liar_k have a lot to be sorry for by voting for this looser twice how stupid.
