Illegal immigrants arrested in Calif.
WA Times
Published: Apr. 5, 2007 at 12:17 AM
U.S. officials say they've arrested 350 illegal immigrants in Southern California over the past two weeks.
The Los Angeles Times says 50 of the people arrested in San Diego and Imperial counties have criminal records. Others were arrested for immigration violations.
While most of the immigrants are Mexican, people from 14 other countries, including Cambodia, Cuba and Israel were also arrested, the newspaper said.
Immigration officials said the arrests were part of Operation Return to Sender, which has resulted in more than 18,000 arrests since May 2006.

Good for them. Now if they would hit the Wal Mart here in Conroe.
I walked in there yesterday looking for a new cap. Asked a Wal Mart employee that was restocking the shelves in mens wear (wearing a blue vest) where they were.
She replied "No habla inglés".
Pizzed me off. Fool if you cant speak English what are you doing working in a public position, should have walked back in with mu I.C.E. cap on to see her reaction.

Oh look it is Tweedle Dee and her side kick Tweedle Dum.
I wonder if they are joined at the hip. It would appear that they share the same brain and both know the language known as Canadian.

I know Bear. Never enough funding to do what needs to be done. Plus not enough of our elected officials take the voters seriously on how most ALL Americans want illegals OUT.
But I try to find a degree of happiness when I continue to read articles like this one. If we could do MORE....I'd be thrilled.

What an original come back Bear. Did you think that up all by yourself? Or did your side kick Tweedle Dee have to tell you to say that.

Wow Stoney, after 35 years in diapers you would think you would have been toilet trained by now. Does toilet training come in the next edition of hooked on phonics or do you first have to graduate pre-school in order to be toilet trained?

Didnt have to, waco brags about it.
Didn't have to....yes we all know it is difficult for old people like you to do any thinking on their own. You are just another Republican sock puppet that can not think for themselves and just lets a mysterious hand manipulate their mouth.
Is there anything you can do for yourself or do you make the poor nurses at the home do everything for you?

The stupidity of Liar_k is hard to believe but its here in print for all to see.
Why LIAR_K would even think about bringing up the subject of deporting illegals. The illegals were GRATIS of G.W.Bush
No one can blame 12 to 15 million illegals in the U.S. on anybody but G.W. BUSH.
12 to 15 million illegals, 5,500 immigration officers to track them down. Illegals BUSH let in are here to stay.
The Democrats are being very smart since the illegals are already here and here to stay. Why not use the republican greed for cheap labor against the republicans.
The millions of votes from the BUSH illegals will help put a Democrat in the White House in 2008.
Once that is done we have all seen how the Mexicans love to organize that equals more LABOR UNIONS. LABOR UNIONS equals more pay and better benefits for a better America for the middle and working class.
Its only a short "comma in history" until Bushy is deported back to Texass living in disgrace as a failure.

LIAR_K said "Immigration officials said the arrests were part of Operation Return to Sender, which has resulted in more than 18,000 arrests since May 2006."
12 to 15 million illegals in the U.S. and LIAR_K brags about 18,000 arrests in almost a year.
Ya just have to laugh at the stupidity of LIAR_K's post.

By AMANDA LEE MYERS, Associated Press Writer 49 minutes ago
PHOENIX - Authorities found at least 80 suspected illegal immigrants in a house west of Phoenix and arrested two suspected smugglers, a police official said.
Authorities shot tear gas into the house Friday, forcing one of the suspected smugglers out.
They found the other suspect hiding in the attic, Peoria police spokesman Mike Tellef said.
He said authorities became aware of the drop house after a Michigan resident called U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, saying one of their relatives had called because the smugglers were demanding more money.
ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice did not confirm how the agency became aware of the drop house and declined to release further information.
None of the immigrants requested medical treatment, although some had said they hadn't eaten for at least a day, Tellef said.
"We're very fortunate that nobody got hurt," he said. "We're lucky that we're not running into 100-degree temperatures yet."
The one-story home is located in a middle-class neighborhood, he said.
The immigrants were in the custody of ICE.
Tellef said the drop house is the second the department has found this week. On Monday, he said 30 suspected illegal immigrants and four suspected smugglers were found in a Peoria home.
On Thursday in Phoenix, police found 60 suspected illegal immigrants packed in a home after responding to a call about shots being fired. No one was hurt, and the immigrants were turned over to ICE.

Lets all take another look at the stupid post LIAR_K made.
There are 12,000,000 illegals in the U.S. LIAR_K brags that in a years time 18,000 were arrested. That only leaves 11,982,000 of BUSH illegals.
For LIAR_K to better understand the numbers of illegals BUSHY lets enter the U.S. every year lets say one million come across our open border. That is about 2,740 per day. In one week more illegals enter the U.S. than all that were arrested in a year. Good odds for the illegals I'd say.

How many illegal aliens are in the U.S.?

Illegal aliens in the
U.S. since Jan. 1
Overview - illegal aliens in the United States
In a letter dated February 2004, no less an authority than Arizona Senator John McCain recognized that Border Patrol apprehension figures demonstrated that "almost four million people crossed our borders illegally 2002" (read McCain's letter) – experts on the subject agree that illegal crossings have only increased since then.
The Tucson sector Border Patrol union local 2544 on the number of illegal aliens in our nation: "There are currently 15 to 20 million illegal aliens in this country by many estimates, but the real numbers could be much higher and the numbers increase every day because our borders are not secure (no matter what the politicians tell you - don't believe them for a second)". (Visit the local's website).
In agreement with Senator McCain, our counters are calibrated to reflect an increase of 10,000 total additional illegal aliens added to the United States population each day.
The counters reflect figures that include illegal aliens successfully entering our nation combined with those who overstay their visas.
We are of the educated opinion that we are conservatively low in our estimation.
In a one hour documentary, Immigrant Nation - Divided Country originally aired in October 2004, CNN estimated that "7 – 20 million" people were "living in this country illegally".
CNN's Lou Dobbs, a highly educated authority on the illegal immigration crisis in our nation regularly uses a figure of "20 million" when discussing the number of illegal aliens on his broadcast "Lou Dobbs Tonight" (Monday - Friday 6 pm & 11 pm eastern time, CNN, see March 2, 2005 transcript).
In April 2003, Georgia state Senator - and national board member of MALDEF - Sam Zamarripa told the Georgia state senate that there were 20 million illegals in the U.S. at the time.
We are aware that others offer lower estimates.
In a September 2004 report on our un-secure borders Who Left the Door Open?, Time magazine used an estimation of 15 million illegals present in the U.S. using reasoning similar to ours – but with much more optimistic U.S. Border Patrol apprehension rates.
President George W. Bush and then Secretary of Homeland Security, Tom Ridge, used a figure of "8-12 million" illegal aliens in December 2003.
Other reports - including one recently released by the Pew Hispanic Center and figures used by the Center for Immigration Studies quoting 10 - 11 million illegal aliens present in the U.S. - rely heavily on U.S. Census data that many, we at TAR included, believe to be incomplete, inaccurate and artificially low.
An independent study of the underground economy released in January 2005 by the Wall Street financial firm Bear Stearns, The Underground Labor Force is Rising to the Surface, produced estimates of 18-20 million illegal aliens present in the United States.
