Since Waco Sheepa has admitted evading paying his taxes, has everyone else done your duty today to support the 21 million illegals in the US?

Experts See Tax Increases Under Dems

By Monisha Bansal
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
April 17, 2007
(CNSNews.com) -

As the nation arrives Tuesday at this year's due date for filing and paying income taxes, taxpayer groups argue that taxes are too high, misspent and cumbersome to file.

"For most Americans this is the day we dread, when we see exactly how much money we're sending to Washington, D.C.," Stephen McMillin, deputy director of the administration's Office of Management and Budget, told a press conference in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

"Washington will spend $24,106 per household in 2007," noted Brian Riedl, a senior policy analyst with the Heritage Foundation, speaking at the same event.

"The federal government will collect $21,992 per household in taxes. The remaining $2,114 represents this year's budget deficit per household, which - along with all prior government debt - will be dumped in the laps of our children," he added.

Government spending is likely to grow because, Riedl said, the Democratic leadership "won't cut a single program, yet ignores the coming tsunami of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid."

"If you have a family, if you work for a living, own a business, or are simply struggling to get by, the Democrats have a plan to raise your taxes," McMillin asserted.

Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, said that with the change in control of the U.S. House and the Senate early this year, it took just two weeks before the Democratic-controlled House "couldn't hold it in any longer and went out and voted for an $8 billion tax increase."

Norquist said he is "extremely concerned that the progress of the last six years" would be rolled back.

"Every single year the [Bush] administration and Congress actually cut taxes - some of them significant tax cuts, some of them smaller - but every year we were moving in the right direction in taking steps to reduce the total tax burden on the American people," he said.

Norquist predicted that more tax increases would be coming, to fund lawmakers' pet projects, calling the $8 billion a "starter tax increase."

Mark Schmitt, senior fellow at the New America Foundation, argues that taxes must rise.
"The truth is that we are heading down a path toward fiscal crisis that will inevitably require a major increase in revenues," he wrote in a recent column. "Taxes must go up."
"Everyone who looks at the numbers knows that taxes must go up," Schmitt said. "If we do nothing at all, the years 2007 through 2016 will bring deficits of $3.5 trillion outside of the surplus in Social Security.

"To balance the budget under these conditions would require cutting defense spending by 67 percent, Medicare by 54 percent, or every other program by a third, something that no one in politics has shown any willingness to do," he added.
===============

Heck no the dems aren't going to CUT any tax. They PROMISED they were going to RAISE them. And the voters decided that was A-okay with them.

Cut back? Eliminate waste? Heck no....read about the LUXURY TRIPS they're taking at taxpayer expense.

They're not going to 'suffer' or do without what THEY want.

Get ready for NEXT year, America. The TAX AND SPEND dems are in charge and YOU put them there.

The Patriot Post had a ton of quotes on taxes yesterday.

Here are but four:

THE FOUNDATION: TAXATION

"To take from one, because it is thought his own industry... has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who... have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it."

---Thomas Jefferson (http://PatriotPost.US/fqd)
'take from those who have acquired too much'.....YEP...that's the way the liberals see it.
=====================

INSIGHT

"The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to the public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny.

The wise and correct course to follow in taxation is not to destroy those who have already secured success, but to create conditions under which everyone will have a better chance to be successful." ---Calvin Coolidge
=================

THE GIPPER ON TAXES

"Common sense told us that when you put a big tax on something, the people will produce less of it. So we cut the people's tax rates and the people produced more than ever before." ++

"Are you entitled to the fruits of your own labor or does government have some presumptive right to spend and spend and spend?" ++

"The federal government has taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the states, and too much liberty with the Constitution." ++

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." ++

"Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but Democrats believe every day is April 15." ---Ronald Reagan
(http://Reagan2020.US/)
===============

FAMILY

"Liberals are at it again. Just three months into their majority, Democrats are once again proposing the biggest tax increase in history...

If it is passed, [the Democrats' 2008 proposed] budget will impose the largest tax increase in history on American taxpayers---totaling nearly $400 billion over five years.

Families with children, low-income families, and small businesses all would be hit with hundreds if not thousands of dollars in increased taxes.

Just what taxes will be raised?

Here are some of the specifics of the liberal proposal:

The 10% Tax Bracket Will Become 15%: More than five million families and individuals who previously owed no taxes will become subject to taxation.

Marriage Penalty Relief Will Be Eliminated: 23 million Americans will owe an average of $466 in additional taxes in 2011.

The Child Tax Credit Will Be Cut in Half: 31 million Americans will pay an average of $859 more in taxes in 2011...

You're a family of four earning $60,000 a year: Your income-tax bill will rise 61% in 2011, from $3,030 to $4,893...

You're an elderly couple earning $40,000 a year: Your taxes will go up by 156% in 2011, from $583 to $1,489...

You're a woman: You could be one of the 83 million American women who could see their taxes rise by an average of $2,068...

You're married: You could be one of the 48 million married couples who will pay an average of $2,899 more under the liberal tax increase...

You have kids: 42 million families with children will pay an average of $2,181 more in taxes." ---Newt Gingrich
=========

But YOU VOTED FOR THEM.....knowing they SAID they were going to raise your taxes.

Didn't they PROMISE NOT to raise taxes on the middle class? ROFLOL......just one MORE LIE they told you to get elected.

Love paying taxes????

Love paying for all those illegals our liberals continue supporting we pay for?

Their medical, dental, etc.
When many of us go without the same benefits. Educating their children.

Paying for illegals in SOOOoooo many ways?

I don't. Imo, they should get NO US taxpayer benefits of ANY kind. Send them home...let the nation they so proudly WAVE THEIR FLAGS about on US soil....support them.
==========

A couple more...

FOR THE RECORD

"One ruse is the Democratic-media chorus that the Bush tax cuts must be repealed because they've left the Treasury high and dry...

Tax receipts did plunge earlier this decade from their late-1990s heights, reaching a trough in fiscal 2004 of 16.3% of GDP.

The economy was still recovering from the collapse of business investment and the stock market bubble, and no doubt the lower Bush rates played a role in reducing revenue for a time. But the lower rates also provided a spur to incentives that led to a rebound in investment, stock prices and ultimately in economic growth, individual incomes and corporate profits.

This produced, in turn, a very sharp rebound in federal tax receipts---to 17.6% of GDP in fiscal 2005 and 18.4% in 2006.

The Congressional Budget Office---now run by Democrats---predicts it will reach 18.6% in fiscal 2007. This is slightly above the 40-year historical average of 18.3%... Despite the Bush tax cuts---or we should say because of them---federal revenues are above where they've been for most of the last half century.

The government is far from starved for cash.

What Democrats really don't want you to know is what will happen to receipts after 2010 if the tax cuts expire...

A tax increase of that magnitude could well lead to a recession and a plunge in receipts...The tax increase fuse has now been lit.

Do nothing and taxes will rise as much as they have at any one time since World War II. Democrats have made the decision to obscure this burning fuse, and the press corps is ignoring it.

But that doesn't mean the rest of the country has to play along." ---The Wall Street Journal
=============

GOVERNMENT

"Liberals and journalists are fond of telling us that raising taxes is the only way out of scary budget deficits that will be handed down to our children and grandchildren.

But Americans don't buy that argument.

In a February 2007 PSRA/Pew Research Center poll, people were asked what they thought was the best way to reduce the federal budget deficit. Only 9 percent said tax increases were the best way. A combined 69 percent said they'd rather see government reduce spending.

They probably noticed the amazing economic growth this country has seen since the tax cuts went into effect...

Americans support tax reform---if only legislators would be honest about their tax reform plans... Americans may not know what all those politicians are talking about---who does?---but they know the tax code is crazy and that they should get to keep more of their own money.

A majority are familiar with at least one 'reform' proposition.

More than half the respondents in a March 2007 Harris/Tax Foundation poll said they'd prefer a flat-rate tax or a national sales tax (like the FairTax) over the current graduated income tax system. I agree with those people who think all the doubletalk about 'reform' is too confusing.

Besides, whenever the Democrats talk about taxes, they are talking about raising them.

Americans don't want higher taxes. What we need is a simple system where everyone can plainly see---and choose for themselves---how much tax they are paying. The only plan that even comes close to achieving that is the FairTax. (http://www.fairtax.org)

Well, I don't think we should talk about tax reform any more. No more tax reform; it's time for replacement." ---Herman Cain

Back on topic. My oldest, who's working on her MS in Ag Management with a minor in accounting did her job real well this year. I paid the state in February and got my Fed return the same month. It came out a wash, just like I like it to. I was really impressed with electronic filing this year. I got my Fed refund ON THE DAY they said I would, 10 days after eFiling. Gotta love the internets.

Poor Bear,
All shook up about the upcoming new gun laws.

With your President Bush being VERY concerned about the safety of Mexican drug runners. The future of gun sales along our southern border may be in jeopardy.

With new changing laws along our southern border in the foreseeable future. You might want to think about a change in careers before its too late.

About taxes, my wife already paid taxes on earned income from the Antique business she owns and works hard at.

Bear,
Out of a world of items to buy and sell, selling regulated items that kill is just plain stupid.

Start looking over your shoulder the regulations are coming.

Even your President is worried about gun running along the southern border.

Despite what you want to believe there are some illegals that are actually paying taxes to the government.

How proud you must be Linda, knowing your taxes and the taxes of your great, great, great grandchildren will be going towards paying for the Iraqi war. You'd think with all that oil they're pumping, some of the money would go to pay off the debt instead of being funneled into Halliburton or "disappearing" altogether. BUT, your government depends on its sheep not speaking up or rocking the boat. That's why people like Sheepa aren't liked much. He only embarrasses the hell out of the apathetic masses that voted for these boneheads.

P.S. What's the big deal about getting your taxes in on time? Do you get fined or go to jail or something if you don't??

Linda, don't presume to know what will make me angry. I have no knowledge of Kiara trying to "rat" on an Ebay seller...only your word which I have learned is not reliable or credible. If she has, I'm sure that she has a good, legitimate reason, just as I know that anyone trying to remove you from this forum would have a good, legitimate reason. And although I believe that reporting you to Vendio would be wasted effort, I would understand and appreciate the effort by anyone who might choose to do so.

Helen, I believe Linda_K was referring to Kraft about an ebay matter that Kraft recently posted about in the EO as I seldom post there and it had absolutely nothing to do with me. Linda_K has the most experience here trying to 'out' others and rat on them.

If I post one time a day Linda_K considers it butting in while she posts non-stop. She is angry that I went off topic but notice she had no problem going off topic when she tried to stir up trouble with Kraft and bring an EO topic here.

Since Linda_K has her nose in everything, why not run Bear's errands and relate his messages for him too? I found it amusing when I read it last evening.

No presumption at all.

"I have no knowledge of Kiara trying to "rat" on an Ebay seller...

YOU don't need to have knowledge of FACTS helen for them to be true.

And again, in one thread you prove how your reading abilities aren't what they used to be. I NEVER said 'kiara'.....I said KD. Remember her? lol

"only your word which I have learned is not reliable or credible."

You can DENY the truth of my word all you wish to helen. I'm always correct....or I don't make this statements.

"If she has, I'm sure that she has a good, legitimate reason,

Sure....just as I said...if a rightie does it....or is even falsely accused of doing it...you're usually leading the 'pack' of accusors. But if a liberal bud of yours does the same....it's OF COURSE, so different in your view.

Ones ethics don't change for most people according to WHO is the offender....but I've long known it sure does with you. tsk tsk tsk

"just as I know that anyone trying to remove you from this forum would have a good, legitimate reason. And although I believe that reporting you to Vendio would be wasted effort, I would understand and appreciate the effort by anyone who might choose to do so."

Yes, helen, understood you live in denial and anyone pointing out the FACTS or TRUTH to you is just unbearable for you to take.
