A Day Brightener !

'Sicko' Stars Thank Moore for Cuba Trip
Updated 7:34 AM ET May 19, 2007

By JOCELYN NOVECK

NEW YORK (AP) - It could have been a college reunion: hugs, tears, laughter, photos, and a big friendly guy in shorts and sneakers organizing it all. But the guy in shorts was Michael Moore, whose new documentary, "Sicko," takes aim at the U.S. health care industry with the same fury _ laced with humor, of course, and plenty of statistics _ that he directed at the Bush administration in his hit "Fahrenheit 9/11."

And the people who'd flown in for this intimate first screening, a day after the film had been shipped to the Cannes Film Festival, included grateful Sept. 11 "first responders," suffering lung problems or other ailments from their days at ground zero. In the film, Moore takes them to Cuba and tries to get them treated at the U.S. base at Guantanamo Bay _ where, he contends, terror suspects were getting better medical care than the heroes of 9/11.

The Cuba trip actually accounts for just a small part of "Sicko," which aims its wrath at private insurance and pharmaceutical companies and HMOs, while praising socialized medicine in countries like France and Britain. Moore fills it with stories like that of a woman whose ambulance ride after a car crash wasn't covered _ because it wasn't "pre-approved."

But Cuba has loomed large in the flurry of prerelease publicity. That's because the director, an unabashed critic of President Bush, is being investigated by the Treasury Department for possibly violating the U.S. trade embargo by traveling to the island nation. Moore has fired back with an open letter accusing the administration of "abusing the federal government for raw, crass political purposes."

At his screening Tuesday evening at a Manhattan hotel, however, Moore was focused on the reaction of his invited guests.

"Three years ago tonight, we had the first screening of 'Fahrenheit 9/11,' with victims' families," he told them. "It was a very powerful experience, and now we're honored to have all of you here. We're very proud of this film. We're confident it will have a significant impact."

When the lights came up, Reggie Cervantes, a former 9/11 "first responder" who now lives in Oklahoma, spoke first.

"It was funny. It was real," said Cervantes, 46, who says she suffers from pulmonary ailments, esophageal reflex, post-traumatic stress disorder, ear and eye infections and other problems stemming from time at ground zero. Of the trip, she said: "It feels surreal. Were we really there?"

"This trip opened my eyes," offered Bill Maher, 54, another former ground zero volunteer from Maywood, N.J., who had extensive dental work in Cuba. "I was uneducated. I remembered the Cuban missile crisis. Now, you know what? I'm going back!"

"I'm going with you," replied Cervantes.

Donna Smith, in from Denver with her husband, Larry, was in tears when she spoke. The film opens with their painful story: Plagued with health problems, they were forced to sell their home and move into the storage room of their daughter's house because they couldn't cope with health costs, even though they were insured.

"Health care is an embarrassment to our nation," Donna told Moore. "You give dignity to every American in this film."

Lost in all the publicity over Moore's trip is the reason he went to Cuba in the first place.

He says he hadn't intended to go, but then discovered the U.S. government was boasting of the excellent medical care it provides terror suspects detained at Guantanamo. So Moore decided that the 9/11 workers and a few other patients, all of whom had serious trouble paying for care at home, should have the same chance.

"Here the detainees were getting colonoscopies and nutrition counseling," Moore told The Associated Press in an interview, "and these people at home were suffering. I said, 'We gotta go and see if we can get these people the same treatment the government gives al-Qaida.' It seemed the only fair thing to do."

So the group, which included eight patients _ three ground zero workers and five others _ headed off by boat towards Guantanamo. From a distance, with cameras rolling, Moore called out through a bullhorn that he wanted to bring his friends for treatment at the naval base. He got no response.

"So there I was with a group of sick people," he says. "What was I going to do?"

The answer: head to Havana. There, the film shows the group getting thorough care from kind doctors. They don't have to fill out any long forms; health care is free in the Communist nation, after all.

But did the American film crew get special treatment because they were, well, an American film crew? Moore and his producer, Meghan O'Hara, insist not. "We demanded that we be treated on the same floor as all Cubans, not the special floor for foreigners," Moore told The AP. Still, the doctors obviously knew they were being filmed, so it's hard to know _ although Cervantes said she went back alone with no cameras and was treated similarly.

Treasury officials will not comment specifically about Moore's case. He has a few more days to provide additional information. Moore originally applied in October 2006 for permission to go to Cuba under a provision for full-time journalists, but never heard back.

The patients he brought had all struggled at home with health care costs. Some, like Cervantes, had lost their health insurance because they could no longer work, and were navigating the workmen's compensation system.

John Graham, a disabled carpenter and EMT from Paramus, N.J., came to the screening with his daughters. On 9/11 he was at his job at the carpenter's union offices, near the World Trade Center. He rushed over before the second plane hit, spending 31 hours at first, then helping out for months after that. He says he was later diagnosed with lung problems, burns on his esophagus, chronic sinusitis and post-traumatic stress disorder, among other things: "I need a notebook to remember everything."

Graham, who stopped working in 2004, now lives on $400 per week in workmen's comp payments. He split from his wife and says he is unable to keep up with childcare payments.

In Cuba, Graham had five full days of medical tests and received medication for his reflux problems. Cervantes was treated for eye and nose infections, among other things, and in a drugstore found pills for only pennies that cost her more than $100 at home. Maher had the longest treatment, to correct dental problems _ he said ground zero-related stress and dreams about "people falling from the sky" made him grind his teeth at night.

Moore hopes his latest film will make people stop and think about what he sees as the tragic ills of the health care industry.

"We are the richest country in the world," the director said. "We spend more on health care than any other country. Yet we have the worst health care in the Western world. Come on. We can do better than this."

Yup, if Cuba has such GREAT health care why did Castro import a Spanish doctor to cure his ails, and why are all the Cubans daring the raft trips to escape from Cuba????????

And on top of that, it appears they'd rather live in a communist nation so that they could then have 'free' health care.

I say...pay their one-way tickets....they deserve to live there, under the communism they so highly PRAISE... tsk tsk tsk

"Moore, explaining the flap over the trip to Cuba in a press conference, said, "This administration flaunts the law, flaunts the constitution."

He has the nerve to say that while he's PRAISING Cuba, a communist nation. Yea, so much for 'flaunting the constitution'.....by praising a communist nation over his own. tsk tsk tsk

And, linduh, I know your reading comprehension (since seeing how you can't read your own posts: see the Planned Parenthood thread) pretty much is non-existent but Moore was praising the HEALTH CARE NOT the country.

Just love seeing you admit your radical, political positions that AREN'T pro-American.

I know you're not very well educated so maybe you could find someone to explain the statement, ""YES I PREFER Communism OVER YOUR racism and Fascism"

It is not advocating Communism, it is NOT supporting communism.
Find a dictionary and look up those big words like "prefer" and "over".

You have advocated each of the 14 points of Fascism and have NEVER denied it.

No, linduh, even YOU are aware no one claims to be a racist but the following, posted by YOU, says it all.

Exclusive: The Tyranny of Political Correctness

Author: Philip Atkinson
Source: The Family Security Foundation, Inc.
Date: May 17, 2007

How many of us are aware of the extent to which the new thought police are eroding our free speech prerogatives throughout Western societies? FSM Contributing Editor Philip Atkinson’s expert evaluation is an important contribution to one of the premier issues of our times.

The Tyranny of Political Correctness

By Philip Atkinson

What is Political Correctness?

Political Correctness (PC) is the communal tyranny that erupted in the 1980s. It was a spontaneous declaration that particular ideas, expressions and behavior, which were then legal, should be forbidden by law, and people who transgressed should be punished. It started with a few voices but grew in popularity until it became unwritten and written law within the community. With those who were publicly declared as being not politically correct becoming the object of persecution by the mob.

The Odious Nature Of Political Correctness

To attempt to point out the odious nature of Political Correctness is to restate the crucial importance of plain speaking, freedom of choice and freedom of speech; these are the community's safe-guards against the imposition of tyranny, indeed their absence is tyranny. This is why any such restrictions on expression such as those invoked by the laws of libel, slander and public decency, are grave matters to be decided by common law methodology; not by the dictates of the mob.

Clear Inspiration for Political Correctness

The declared rational of this tyranny is to prevent people being offended; to compel everyone to avoid using words or behavior that may upset homosexuals, women, non-whites, the crippled, the stupid, the fat or the ugly. This reveals not only its absurdity but its inspiration. The set of values that are detested are those held by the previous generation (those who fought the Second World War), which is why the terms niggers, coons, dagos, wogs, poofs, spastics and sheilas, have become heresy, for, in an act of infantile rebellion, their subjects have become revered by the new generation. Political Correctness is merely the resentment of spoilt children directed against their parent's values.

The Origins Of Political Correctness

A community declines when the majority of its citizens become selfish, and under this influence it slowly dismantles all the restraints upon self-indulgence established by manners, customs, beliefs and law: tradition. (See the law of reverse civilization) As each subsequent generation of selfish citizens inherits control of the community, it takes its opportunity to abandon more of the irksome restraints that genius and wisdom had installed. The proponents of this social demolition achieve their irrational purpose by publicly embracing absurdity through slogans while vilifying any who do not support their stance. The purpose of the slogan is to enshrine irrational fears, or fancies, as truth through the use of presumptuous words, so public pronouncement:

Dissembles the real nature of the claim
Identifies any dissenters as enemies of the truth

Acts as an excuse for any crimes committed in its name

For example the slogan Australia is Multicultural is a claim that:

Different cultures are compatible.

People who contradict this claim are blinded by prejudice against other cultures.

People who contradict this claim are trouble-making bigots, which makes them enemies of the community, if not humanity, and deserving persecution.

All of which is an attack upon truth, clear thinking and plain speaking.

From Bourgeois To Racist

Naturally, as the restraints shrink the rebellion grows ever more extreme in nature. When the author of Animal Farm wrote an article in 1946 about the pleasures of a rose garden, he was criticized for being bourgeois.

George Orwell mentions this in his essay A Good Word For The Vicar Of Bray, published in the Tribune, 1946. The term bourgeois was then a popular slogan meaning having humdrum middle class ideas— The Oxford English Dictionary 3rd Edition, 1938 — which is just a blatant attack upon tradition.

Outright Assault Upon Tradition

Now, in the late 1990s, the results of being bourgeois (retaining traditional notions), is being labeled racist, sexist, etc., and you risk losing your job, your reputation, being jostled in the street, being subject to judicial penalty and to death threats. And it is this very extremity of reaction that has won media attention and the name Political Correctness, though the reaction will become even more unpleasant with the next generation.

Parental Values Always Attacked

The inevitable scapegoat for people impatient of restraint must always be parents, because these are society's agents for teaching private restraint. So the cherished notions of the parents are always subject to attack by their maturing offspring. This resentment of tradition was observed in his own civilization by Polybius (c. 200-118 BC), the Greek historian, who said:

"For every democracy which has enjoyed prosperity for a considerable period first develops through its nature an attitude of discontent towards the existing order...."

Tyranny Grows

Once a community embraces tyranny the penalties can only grow in severity. This gradual increase is easily seen by the example of Toastmasters. As the members of the club became more concerned about the delights of socializing and less concerned about the disciplines of public speaking, they became more intolerant of citizens who were earnest about learning the art of rhetoric. Once those members who did their duty by truthfully pointing out the shortcomings in another member's performance were just labeled as negative or discouraging; later this became a risk of being socially ostracized.

Now (since 1998) unpopularity can result in being permanently ejected from the club by a majority vote.

Australian Experience Of PC Tyranny

In my country the tyranny erupted with the persecution of public figures such as Arthur Tunstall for uttering truths that had become unpopular, either directly in a speech, or indirectly by telling jokes. The maiden speech of the Federal Member of Parliament for Ipswich contained so many disliked truths that the rabble escalated the ferocity of their attack and extended them to her supporters, introducing terror into Australian politics.

Anyone who watched the TV coverage (1997/8) of Pauline Hanson's political campaign will have seen the nature of her opponents; a throng who looked and behaved more like barbarians than citizens of a civilized community. And any mob that chants "Burn the witch" (when she spoke outside an Ipswich hall after she had been refused entry) leaves no doubt as to their intent or character.

Widespread Throughout The Community

Revealing the extent of the mob's support, their sentiments (suitably refined) were enthusiastically echoed by the media and the administration. And in an unprecedented act of cooperation, all the political parties conspired to eject Ms. Hanson from the federal parliament in the election of October 3rd 1998. This was revealed by the how-to-vote cards of the parties contesting the seat of Blaire, which all placed Ms. Hanson last. This was a public admission by both the major parties that they would rather risk losing the election than allow this forthright woman to keep her seat in parliament.

International Experience Of PC Tyranny

And it is not just in Australia but in every western democratic country popular demands have been made for restrictions on expression

Bowing to the clamor of the electorate, politicians in these countries have enacted absurd laws. The Australian community-wide declaration of irrational hatred displayed by the persecution of Pauline Hanson paralleled the Canadian experience of Paul Fromm, director of the Canadian Association for Free Expression Inc., and the examples of the national soccer coach of England and a prominent public servant in Washington,
USA confirm that the hysteria is everywhere.

The Inevitable Result Of Political Correctness

By using the excuse of not upsetting anyone, the politically correct are demanding that people behave like the fool who would please everyone; that everyone must become such a fool! All must accept the notions of the Politically Correct as truth, or else! This is the same mentality that inspired the Inquisition and forced Galileo to recant; the same mentality that inspired the Nazis and obtained the Holocaust. Once expression gets placed in a straitjacket of official truth, then the madness that occurs in all totalitarian states is obtained. Life, in private and public, becomes a meaningless charade where delusion thrives and terror rules.

Examples Of Denying Freedom Of Speech

Evidence of this effect is amply demonstrated by the Soviets, who embraced Political Correctness with the Communist Revolution.

The lumbering, pompous, impoverished, humorless monster this Nation became is now History. And it should be remembered that in 1914 Tsarist Russia was considered by Edmund Cars, a French economist who then published a book about the subject, to be an economic giant set to overshadow Europe.

The SBS television program "What Ever Happened To Russia", which was broadcast at 8.30 pm on 25th August 1994, detailed the terrible effect the Bolshevik's oppression had on their empire. And SBS further detailed the terrible crimes inflicted upon the Russians by their leader Stalin, in the series "Blood On The Snow" broadcast in March 1999.

An Old Witness

Helen, a member of Parramatta writers club in 1992, was a citizen of Kiev during the Red Terror, and described living with official truth and the constant threat of arrest. Knowing the content of the latest party newspaper was critical to avoiding internment, as public contradiction, either directly or indirectly, meant denouncement to the KGB. If you complained about being hungry when food shortages were not officially recognized, then you became an enemy of the state. If you failed to praise a Soviet hero, or praised an ex-hero, then again your fate was sealed. The need to be politically correct dominated all conversation and behavior, as failure meant drastic penalty. Uncertainty and fear pervaded everything, nobody could be sure that an official request to visit Party headquarters meant imprisonment, torture, death, public reward or nothing important. Living with such a terrible handicap naturally destroyed all spontaneity of thought or action, rendering the whole community mad.

The awful effect this had upon Helen's sanity was made clear when she escaped to Australia. Here she encountered the free press, which had an unpleasant impact upon her. One day she read The Australian newspaper which happened to carry two separate articles about Patrick White, one praising, the other denigrating this well known writer. Poor Helen found herself turning from one to the other, which was she to repeat as correct? She nearly had a nervous breakdown.

Political Correctness Is Social Dementia

Unless plain speaking is allowed, clear thinking is denied. There can be no good reason for denying freedom of expression, there is no case to rebut, only the empty slogans of people inspired by selfishness and unrestrained by morality. The proponents of this nonsense neither understand the implications of what they say, nor why they are saying it: they are insane.

Social Decline Grows Worse With Each

Generation
Political Correctness is part of the social decline that generation by generation makes public behavior less restrained and less rational.

The Antithesis of Michael Moore: Real Courage in Cuba

By John Mendez
There’s been much made recently about the vaunted Cuban medical system since propagandist Michael Moore traveled to Havana with 9/11 heroes in tow searching for "free" health care. It’s Mr. Moore’s idea of a clever way to criticize America and the capitalist system he exploits so brilliantly. Of course, it never actually occurred to him that while he was "free" to film in Cuba there were political prisons suffering in Castro’s gulags simply for doing exactly what Moore thinks is his sole universal right; speaking out. A big mouth coupled with a small mind is a dangerous combination.

That Moore would use his craft to spew the Castro party line isn’t surprising when you consider they are both geniuses at hypocrisy and self-promotion. Castro supposedly wanted power in order to depose a dictator and re-establish the "power of the people," but nearly five decades later without an election, he has become one of history’s most despicable tyrants, the full indictment of whom won’t be known until the inevitable fall of his particularly vehement brand of communism in Havana. Moore, for his part, pretends to care about social issues so long as he makes bundles of cash; only pathologically anti-American leftists don’t seem to notice or care.

Unfortunately for Moore, the totalitarian regime’s misinformation machinery doesn’t work quite as efficiently as it did when Castro was at the helm. So Thursday morning, in the middle of Moore’s defiant defense of Castro and his "accomplishments," Raul, perhaps in one of his notorious drunken stupors, ordered the detention of Gorki Aguila. For those unfamiliar with the Cuban punk rock scene, which would mean just about everyone, Mr. Aguila is the outspoken lead singer of "Porno for Ricardo," a punk rock band profiled recently by CNN. (That CNN would air any internal criticism of Castro is in itself incredible).

Gorki, an unlikely threat to the state, had the gumption to criticize the Cuban system so longingly worshipped by Michael Moore. Yet unlike Moore, who gets to challenge a former senator and likely presidential candidate to debate, Gorki gets a prison term. I guess the US system isn’t quite so terrible after all, Mr. Moore.

So now that Mr. Moore has decided to immerse himself into Cuban politics debate, when will he and the rest of the activist American left begin calling for the release of Gorki Aguila? The short answer is "never." Our elitist protesters are nothing more than self-serving narcissists who can only dream of having the courage of a Gorki Aguila.

Speaking out against America is cheap and easy but is far from courageous. America doesn’t have a secret police or nasty little military to anchor a leader’s repression regardless of the disturbed claims from an unhinged left to the contrary. Courage means facing consequences; real consequences not simply a dip in the popularity scale.

So despite the self-aggrandizing calls from a George Clooney to "keep making courageous films," these faux activists are cowards. While Clooney may ask for help in Darfur, he doesn’t dare criticize the biggest accomplice to the tragedy, China. He understands fully that the consequences of criticizing the Chinese government might mean a ban on his movies; so he walks a fine line instead calling on President Bush to "stop the genocide" as if the US had any control. But such is the modus operandi of the "courageous" Clooney who has always been outspoken and quick to criticize the US, where, of course, there are no consequences. So will George Clooney speak out for the release of Gorki Aguila and other political prisoners in Castro’s prisons? Not likely, at least not unless Raul cozies up to the wicked "big oil" cabal and its cohort, the CIA. Until then, the brave Clooney will take a "courageous" stand and rid the world of the evils of the ruthless paparazzi. Good luck with that, Captain Courage.

Perhaps Dixie Chick Natalie Maines will step up and demand for Gorki Aguila the same freedom she enjoys. Surely she must appreciate that criticizing your government is a fundamental right, if not for every citizen, at the very least for artists like her. There but for the grace of God go you, Natalie. His lyrics of protest are not much different than your own. Gorki is in prison merely for suggesting to others not to choose communism (as if Cuba had "chosen" communism). Luckily, or predictably, your nemesis was an American president and not the Castro brothers who would not have taken it well had Gorki made a similar suggestion of "shame" for their leader. Weak record sales and low attendance figures are the least of his worries.

Code Pinkster Cindy Sheehan won’t dare criticize Castro and his minions for incarcerating Gorki for simply speaking his mind. Cindy apparently believes it’s okay for her to stage very long, very public protests outside an elected official’s home and call for his execution but a Cuban resident, somehow her inferior, must shut his mouth or have it shut for him. What is even more hypocritically appalling is that Cindy must think that her loss of a son is much more tragic than the losses of "The Ladies in White" who she refused to meet with or even acknowledge on her recent publicity stunt to the island prison instead choosing to embrace the man responsible for the murder and imprisonment of their loved ones. Cindy Sheehan and Code Pink have a greater solidarity to a heartless repressor of human rights than to the mothers of his victims. So don’t wait for Cindy or the "elitist communists" of Code Pink to denounce Gorki’s imprisonment and call for his release, he and his opinions like the many lives of the relatives of the "Ladies in White" mean nothing in their political end game.

Regrettably, we will not hear a single American "activist" call for the release of Gorki Aguila or any other Cuban political prisoner for that matter. Regrettable because Gorki Aguila is just like them; an activist artist. Yet, unlike our Hollywood elite, Gorki faces real consequences. There is no courage without consequences and Gorki Aguila has shown more courage in a single interview than Michael Moore, George Clooney, Natalie Maines and Cindy Sheehan have shown in a lifetime.

Gorki Aguila is courageous; they are cowards.

You say you don't support fascism yet all your posts here show that you do, especially with Bush as your leader and you follow blindly. You've turned your back on the majority of the views of the people in your own country and you want no dissent at all.

You talk about supporting free speech but you whine the loudest when others voice opinions that you don't agree with.

LOL!!!! That is hysterical. The reality is completely the opposite. Moore has been an activist & documentary film maker long before he made bundles of cash. He simply found a way to make money while enjoying the very thing he loves doing... but leave to the neocons to find fault in making money b/c someone is liberal. LOL!!!!!!

No rusty that IS what MM is all about.

That those on the racial left, like yourself, buy everything he's selling...only proves that to be true.

=================

GREAT article, Bear. Thanks.
They don't want to discuss any of those happenings....because it's too close to the truth for them to ever acknowledge. Won't change the FACTS....but their MO is to IGNORE all FACTS.

=========================

See kiara.....you're entitled to your opinion...it won't change a thing. How nice that you can say what you feel.....but your ilk is trying to keep other Americans from being FREE to say what THEY want to. And just for the record.....I have NEVER judged that YOU see anything as it REALLY is. LOL LOL LOL

And while all the PERSONAL garbage goes on.....

no liberal has answered Bear's question.

Is it because they CAN'T....they don't HAVE an answer? I believe it is.

"Yup, if Cuba has such GREAT health care why did Castro import a Spanish doctor to cure his ails, and why are all the Cubans daring the raft trips to escape from Cuba????????"

See kiara.....you're entitled to your opinion...it won't change a thing.

Really? And you think yours does, Linda_K?

How nice that you can say what you feel.....but your ilk is trying to keep other Americans from being FREE to say what THEY want to.

Do you have any realization of how often you use that same stupid phrase 'you and your ilk' over and over each day? Who are my so-called ilk? Where are they?

And just for the record.....I have NEVER judged that YOU see anything as it REALLY is. LOL LOL LOL

Of course you haven't. You're much too stupid to even begin to judge it.

And all the LOL LOL LOL that you do will not cover the truth that you are a racist and one who supports fascism under the Bush regime.

You have an extremely narrow view of the way others live in this world and you seem very afraid of anyone who doesn't support your views, whether they live right in your own country or any other country worldwide. Their diversity threatens you daily and it comes across loud and clear that you would rather hate them than understand them when it comes to how they choose to live their lives opposed to how you live yours.

Those are all YOUR opinions....not facts....and certainly not the way I see you nor your posts, kaira.

lol

I've told you before...my lol'ing is me laughing.

Now, I understand that you and your ilk don't LIKE it went I laugh...but that's YOUR problem.

And so far you haven't been ABLE to pass any LAWS forcing me to stop.

Your refusal to use your ignore button is also your choice. I will do what I want to and laughing at much of what you say I find VERY LAUGHABLE. LOL LOL LOL

Imo, it's you inability to CONTROL my actions that most upsets you...as is noted by all your personal posts about and to me.

Get a clue...you're NOT my momma and you don't control me or what I say or do AT ALL.

LOL

Linda_K, you addressed me and I answered you. My opinion had absolutely nothing to do with me wishing to control you nor do I ever want to control anyone else in this world.

But the fact that you would see it that way speaks volumes about you. That's a prime example of what I meant when I said any diversity from anywhere is a threat to you because you fear others will control you or have power over you or your life because they choose to live, or speak, or think or believe in a different way from you. You find it intimidating and are filled with contention because you have no power over them.

If anyone else laughs here you become angry and tell them to grow up. You don't laugh often from the heart with genuine humor. You laugh because you have total contempt for others with different beliefs and opinions. But sometimes you laugh from the heart over racist comments and hate speech or filthy talk from sexually retarded males.

kiara....this will most likely be WAY above your ability to comprehend it.

But you support everything I disagree with that the liberal left stands for.

I have the constitution right to disagree.

It is NOT my party trying to CENSOR free speech it is the liberals who CAN'T HANDLE others having a different opinion/political position.

You're just going to have to live with it....it's called DIVERSITY. LOL LOL LOL

It's not ONLY when YOU okay it....it's ALL speech....ALL difference of opinions/positions.

You are NOT my 'thought' police. You are not my mommy. Maybe you should have had children of your own and then you wouldn't have such a HUGE need to control the actions of others.

You could/would just disagree....but that's not what you do here. You and your ILK can't handle any disagreement.....because you CAN'T CONTROL IT.

But your ilk is working on it....very very hard.

NOT the American way.

I do? Prove it, Linda_K. And by that I mean direct quotes from me with links.

How could you possibly know if I have children or not? You know very little about me as I've seldom discussed my personal life and have no desire to do so here because it's none of your business.

And you really fear that I am trying to control you? Oh my, I did hit a nerve, didn't I? You're way too easy!

Everything I have EVER mentioned about you personally, kiara, is what YOU HAVE posted here on all these threads.

YOU made it public knowledge. YOU.

Try and get a clue....just once.

I know it's a memory problem...always is with you liberals.

tsk tsk tsk
