With our ongoing problem of illegals being in our country, draining our resources, many are working to stop this invasion. More and more tax dollars continue to be spent to gain some control over this invasion....mostly from mexico.

We already have laws on the books to deal with illegals...but city after city ignores or actually orders their police to NOT detain illegals when they ARE caught, just release them.

Imo, there are many things that have contributed to our illegal problem. Mostly our current laws not being enforced.

Then we have all these cities that are becoming 'sanctuaries' for illegals....actually welcoming them and letting them know they will be protected from our laws if they come there.

And here, just one more sorry example of MORE elected officials who actively work TOWARDS breaking our laws.

I think it's about time American citizens start demanding that those elected leaders who actively support BREAKING OUR LAWS on illegals should be recalled/fired. ON THE SPOT. And then, imo, they should be procecuted themselves, for breaking our laws by these sorts of actions.

They are nothing more than criminals themselves.

City approves ID cards for illegal immigrants

June 6, 2007
BY CARA RUBINSKY

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- City officials approved a plan Monday to offer illegal immigrants identification cards that would let them open bank accounts and use other services that may be unavailable without driver's licenses or state-issued IDs.

Supporters say the program, approved by the Board of Aldermen and believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, will help safeguard the city's estimated 15,000 illegal immigrants. If they can open bank accounts, immigrants will be less likely to carry large amounts of cash, a practice that makes them easy targets for robbers.

Monday's vote stands in contrast to new laws or proposals in more than 90 cities or counties around the nation prohibiting landlords from leasing to illegal immigrants, penalizing businesses that employ them or training police to enforce immigration laws.

Had we been enforcing our immigration laws, all along, we wouldn't find ourselves in the position we are now in - our politicians working towards giving them amnesty AGAIN.
