No one puts a gun to anyone's head to work (as far as I know) but people have to make money somehow. Many people hate their jobs.

If they hate their job,then it is going to show up in their performance,then they will get lousy review and that makes them hate their jobs more!

If Ebay sellers don't like their jobs it will have a negative impact on Ebay because dissatisfied sellers give rise to unhappy customers. Ebay will prosper in the future only if sellers grievances are seriously considered and resolved.

Mingo, now that you have free reign on Vendio again, people will stop using the round table and keep posting off-track messages on EBay Outlook. Every other poster that I know of can conform to the standards of each board. If you never visit EO again, fair riddance. Your comments were never helpful. I don't like censorship but I feel you fall in the same category as Linda and deserve a similar fate.

I am pretty much giving up my night job and going back to Selling on E-Bay. I can't afford the gas to go to work. I live about two miles from the Post Office so I think selling on E-Bay full time will be a lot better on me. We also go to the flea market which is doing o.k. this year. We took in almost $400.00 today. I think I'm going to be rained out tomorrow but will sell some.

Good for you! Hope it works out well. I'm thinking of moving the other way. EBay is great for setting your own hours and (for me) indulging in a hobby. Taking home 1/8 the moola I made in the corporate world is another matter and, unless the drastic changes at eBay result in a drastic positive change in my income, I'm reverting to a part-timer.
Edited to add: MAH, I'm not sure what you sell, but the anticipated changes for fixed price listings/stores presents great opportunities for sellers willing to pony-up to the anchor store subscription fee. My understanding is that fixed priced listings will cost either $0 to $.02 per listing with the option of 3, 7, 10, or 30-day-GTC duration for anchor stores. All store listings will be found in a standard search, not sorted out separately.

zippy, I hardly ever read Linda's posts, too boring, too nasty. What I can tell you is that if you stopped in to the RT you would see 50 posts & 40 were started by Linda.
It was often suggested that no one reply to her to try to put a stop to her nonsence.
Best thing to happen was her suspension from Vendio so things could get back to normal.
Maybe someone else who has more experience with Linda can enlighten you better than I can.

Stonecold, on Ebay Outlook you are occassionally able to offer intelligible and helpful comments. I advise you to spend more time there where your comments may be appreciated.
But here, as usual, the information that you offer is completely off base. Neither I nor Mingo was involved in the thread in which the alledged suspension that you are discussing occurred. There is not a single member of this board or on the associated auction related boards who is so misinformed as you are on this topic.

Well, I can kinda see her point in that thread. I'm not a Republican but I am a native San Franciscan born and bred and I too have strong opinions about the Folsom Street Fair.

Zippy, Vendio would never dump you for your opinion. They will eventually dump you if you dominate a board with hatred and disrespect of other posters. It doesn't follow political lines - Linda was the poster child of poor, desperately seeking attention behavior. Unfortunately for those right of center, she chose to hang her hat on that side of the ring. There are many fine folks who post on EO and Roundtable who I politically disagree with. The fact that I can converse with them sanely on EO, but am not "allowed to" by the extremist on the Roundtable still baffles me. Roundtable should be a forum of rounded discussions, not a forum of bigoted hotheads trying to dominate the forum.

I believe the extremist disappeared months ago, Pixiamom. And how can a single person not allow another to post here? I believe only Vendio has that control.
It's understandable that the disruptive nature of a single poster can cause others not wanting to post here but they are still "allowed to" as long as Vendio doesn't take that privilege away. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post because I'm reading it in the present tense and don't see the Round Table as a forum of bigoted hotheads who are trying to dominate it.
