Is anyone else concerned about the McCain/Palin campaign morphing from character-branding to patriotism-by-region to who's on God's side? Most of this is emitting from the Palin side but McCain is allowing it. Palin is well beyond evangelical. The churches she has most frequented are pentecostal - divine revelations, prophecy. Palin has stated she believes we are fighting God's war. In her Alaska office, there is a flag of Israel - - mirroring her belief that Israelites are the chosen people. Does Palin believe we are near the end of the world, as Revelations is frequently interpreted by her pastor in Juneau? I didn't like Obama being whacked for the far-out views of his pastor, which he doesn't share. He has not put them off-limits, however , on discussing them and the relevancy they hold on how he will govern. McCain has declared Palin's religious views off-limits. and the press has generally respected that. But we have to ask: does she believe the end of the world is near and how will that affect her judgment if she should {{shudder}} become president.

"And it also strengthens my faith, because I'm going to know, at the end of the day, putting this in God's hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4. So I'm not discouraged at all."
If the election is in God's hands does he choose the winner?

I'm sure most of us have seen the clips of that witch hunter praying over her in her church. The guy was notorious in Africa for "identifying" witches and running them out of their villages. The whole pitchfork and torches routing like in the movies.
While I do think she's an end-timer herself, I don't see her pushing the "god's side" thing too far. She has too much wacko pentecostal baggage of her own that can easily be brought up.
On the other hand, "desperate times......"
