Hi, Neva: I don't know about everyone else, but I can tell you I haven't listed on eBay all summer and have no real incentive to start up again in the fall. eBay has just about lost me as a customer; hence I don't come to Vendio (through which I list) as often.

It may be that people are gradually finding message boards and chat rooms that work better for them? I signed onto Facebook but really don't go there--and I'm tired of reading posts that tell the world they're going to turn in now, or feed the dog, or such.

Several auction related boards are inactive right now. Even EbayOutlook is slow.

I believe that that Vendio's decision to remove an easily visible link to this board on the Community page reduced the number of new people who might add to the discussions both here and there.

Other auction related boards are similarly unpopular right now. One is reportedly closing soon due to lack of interest on the part of members and the board owner while several others are engaged in board wars. One such board for example supports a foolish woman and her baseless personal insults. In order to counter those insults another faction formed another board and the war goes on.

And then another is dominated by a crazed loon who works day and night posting cut and paste topics which she fails to support with even more totem cut and paste articles. Without a couple of posters there to occasionally reply to her nonsense that board would also fold.

Trying to inform such ignorance is a losing battle.

Yea I had the same feeling. Its another
"Its all about me" website like "myspace.com"

The only thing I found mildly amusing was Helenjw keeps posting her naked photos.

It is more like the Big Impostor. Better yet maybe he should be using Classic Chicken instead.

"Hallelujah"

Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

Never argue with an idiot - they'll bring you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Havent you learned anything about this dying outhouse?

Hey genius maybe you can dial a number to find out. Make sure you press "1" to get your answer in Canadian. I know you still believe there is a Canadian language.

Democracy

It's coming through a hole in the air,
from those nights in Tienanmen Square.
It's coming from the feel
that this ain't exactly real,
or it's real, but it ain't exactly there.
From the wars against disorder,
from the sirens night and day,
from the fires of the homeless,
from the ashes of the gay:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

It's coming through a crack in the wall;
on a visionary flood of alcohol;
from the staggering account
of the Sermon on the Mount
which I don't pretend to understand at all.
It's coming from the silence
on the dock of the bay,
from the brave, the bold, the battered
heart of Chevrolet:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

It's coming from the sorrow in the street,
the holy places where the races meet;
from the homicidal bitchin'
that goes down in every kitchen
to determine who will serve and who will eat.
From the wells of disappointment
where the women kneel to pray
for the grace of God in the desert here
and the desert far away:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

Sail on, sail on
O mighty Ship of State!
To the Shores of Need
Past the Reefs of Greed
Through the Squalls of Hate
Sail on, sail on, sail on, sail on.

It's coming to America first,
the cradle of the best and of the worst.
It's here they got the range
and the machinery for change
and it's here they got the spiritual thirst.
It's here the family's broken
and it's here the lonely say
that the heart has got to open
in a fundamental way:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

It's coming from the women and the men.
O baby, we'll be making love again.
We'll be going down so deep
the river's going to weep,
and the mountain's going to shout Amen!
It's coming like the tidal flood
beneath the lunar sway,
imperial, mysterious,
in amorous array:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.

Sail on, sail on ...

I'm sentimental, if you know what I mean
I love the country but I can't stand the scene.
And I'm neither left or right
I'm just staying home tonight,
getting lost in that hopeless little screen.
But I'm stubborn as those garbage bags
that Time cannot decay,
I'm junk but I'm still holding up
this little wild bouquet:
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A.
