The fear party has delivered it's message exactly like Bush delivered the axis of evil message and whipped America into war mode with lies and devious propaganda. Now, like then, all the crazies cower in fear and believe.

That's one theory. The other is he probably figures out what he is going to get, and will probably pay through the nose til it bleeds, winding up worse than he is now.
Not to mention what it will "evolve" into.
Hopefully it can be blocked until the elections and then maybe safeguards can be built in.
