I would like to Chat with Capricorns born on New Years Eve. To go further, how about 1952. We get ripped off because everyone is burnt out after christmas. I think we should celebrate on the month of June. Feed back Please.

And being born on Jan 4 is even worse because people are still getting over the hangover from the 1st. How many times did you get a gift as a child that was for your bday and Christmas combined. RIP OFF

My birthday is 1/2/52. And yes as a child I felt cheated!!!! My mother started a tradition when I was 9. We celebrated my birthday on 7/4. I not only enjoyed a regular birthday I had fireworks. Mom was and is still today just the greatest.

I too am a December baby - 12/18/70 to be exact - and I can tell you that one week before Christmas nobody is interested in your birthday. Even worse, being Jewish, my birthday falls in the middle of Chanukah at least once every during every three year period. My hubby's birthday is 12/23 and I've been trying to convince him to move our birthdays to June for a couple of years now. He just won't cooperate.
Definately not looking forward to this (30) birthday.

I would like to thank all who have answered my add. All your stories are very interesting and I think we should demand a special day in June. June 2nd is my anniversary any way.(End of contract with US NAVY). Lets hear it "CAPRICORNS"

This carpricorn was born 12/27/65 - right in the middle of Christmas and New Years......My birthday is usually celebrated as a combined kinda deal, you know...xmas and bday and most of the time, so are the gifts! Gotta love xmas wrapping paper on birthday gifts!! Oh well......it used to bug me, but I'm OLD now, and I'm over it...NOT!!

I was born on 1/12/67 and to this day I still receive a Christmas/Birthday gift from my parents, the emphasis being on the / dividing the two occasions. I think it's just their way of being getting off cheaply!
One of my sons was born on 1/4....he's even worse off than me when it comes to receiving Christmas presents because by then everyone is sick of shopping and wrapping.

Christmas eve, 1955.
It's nice to hear from those of you who have shared this "special holiday season".
Bottom line, I've never really experienced a "birthday" celebration. Family obligations always eat the season to the bone and even if there was time set aside, I don't think anyone could gather up the energy to care.
Que sera sera. Can't miss what I never had

my sister-in-law was born on Christmas...my neice on New Year's Eve, me and my other neice were born on Jan 6, both my grandparents have Dec birthdays as well as a Dec anniversary, 8 of my distant relatives have Dec birthdays...I also have 2 sons, born Dec 18 and Dec 20...I guess genetics made most of us furtile only in Spring.
and don't forget if you're born after New Year's your parents don't get to claim you as a tax deduct until the following year.

My grandmother and grandfather's birthdays were Jan 1 and Jan 5 respectively.
We always made special days for them. While we might have combined New Year's Eve with Gram'ma's birthday, at midnight, we'd give her our gifts, and bring out a cake and celebrate into the wee hours - even the kids.
Four days later, a new cake and presents from all were given to my grandfather.
What a blast to remember that!
