It will be interesting to see if this thread gets yanked. Hi Moderator
I like AW but it has three extremely severe limitations in my case:
1. AMPro only allows you to use one user name. So if you are like me and sell wildly divergent items (ie, digital cameras, espresso machines, and hemp acces.) under different user names, you are screwed. I asked AW about this and they said "Use multiple AW accounts - well thats bogus because AMPro will only work with one account! If you change the user name in the preferences, it erases everything you had created under the old name!
2. Poor Inventory Management - AW advertises that you can "manage your inventory online" but you might as well have a piece of scratch paper on your desk, because its about the same level of technology. AW does not automatically deduct an item from inventory when it is sold, so you have to remember to deduct it manually. Why bother?
3. No Accounting Feature - Aw does not provide any way to create sales reports, profit/loss statements, etc. I know several other auction programs do offer this feature.
I am especially interested in AuctionManager 2000 - I have not used it but it claims to do all these things. Has anyone tried it? Does anybody know of another service and/or program that might fit the bill?
