YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL ABOUT IT!!!

Having voted for Gore [and would do so again if there was a re-vote] I can only say I hope Bush does win at this point. No matter what 50% of the people are going to hate the next president. Not just dislike but actually hate. He will be a four year president and then the defeated party will prevail next election. Not to mention that this presidents life is not likely to be worth a plug nickle with all the pissed off nut jobs out there. All I am hoping is that Bush won't get us into some war just to prove that he is not a wimp.Hate to see our young men die for someones ego. It is a given that the economy will take a dive with Bush as president.
I guess I just want to survive the next four years so we get a chance to get someone better next time.

It's cut and paste yelling.

If it's cut and paste yelling you should do a disclaimer.

Read the article. That is pretty scary stuff.I have felt the same way for a long time. Bush is an idiot when it comes to foreign policy. I have never been as worried about what he will do on the domestic side but I do worry a lot about what is going to happen in Israel and elsewhere. Perhaps all the end of the millenium predictions will come true. This is after all the true end of it this year.

As I never yell you should know that it is not my yelling without disclaimer.

There are people across the country arming themselves in record numbers and vowing to take the country before Gore will take their guns.

Republicanism as Anarchism. Bush is the perceived savior.

I'm out; practicing.

Guess I'd best get to practicing too. As a gun owner myself I have never been afraid that Gore would take them away.

I voted for Bush, the silent ones I guess, but I won't hate any one that sits in our Presidency, I will respect him, whoever it will be. I am not even reading anymore articles, watching CNN, or links.. the outcome will be the outcome. I hope at this point that Gore does win. The country is too split on this, and since he's been in that White House for eight years, maybe theres a chance he would do better, I don't know anymore. But the arguements between the GOP and the Democrats should end. Maybe Gore can do this.

How can any of you be for Bush? All he is interested in is starving our poor children and throwing our senior citizens out on the street. Gore on the other hand has pledged to spend the next four years driving a disabled woman around Iowa in a Winnebago....picking up cans to pay for a desk for poor little Kayle.

eyeguy6-I don't think you'll find many that will say that they voted for Bush, I've seen a few here. In RL, just talking to people, family etc, seemed so anti Bush. (except my father, who voted in St. Pete, Florida)

But then when out and about I saw bumperstickers, and signs that were Bush/Cheney.

I went and looked up the facts on all the issues that Bush proposed, and that Gore proposed, the ones that are not from the media, etc. I listened to the debates. The first one wasn't good, the next 2 I thought Bush did well, spoke well, and clarifyed alot, that is why I voted for Bush, not just because he is in the GOP.

Back to my ebay stuff.

Shelly, The beauty of living in America is that you really do not have to justify the way you vote to anyone. You are free to vote as you please. That is until BUSH takes over. Then you will have to vote republican.

DISCLAIMER: That last part is a joke! Just a joke!

I guess I'm about as passionate about my politics as the next guy but this all gets out of hand. I voted for Bush but I'm not going to go jump off a bridge if Gore eventually wins. We've had numerous Republican presidents and Democratic presidents and guess what? The world didn't end regardless of who was in the White House. I think we all agree on much more than we disagree on. We just tend to get caught up in the "spin". Why can't we all just get along?

njrazd, Just goes to show how strongly people feel about each candidate doesn't it? As I said 50% feel one way, 50% feel the other.Unfortunatly I really believe GW is a warmonger and Gore is not. My opinion only I would never expect anyone else to believe the same based on what I think. Anymore than I will change my opinion based on what others say. None of us here are privy to any inside information. We can only go with our gut and research and unfortunatly the very biased media. [biased both ways, depends on where you are]

Get ahold of yourself. What kind of board would this be if everyone got along?

rawbunzel...I have not read anything that would put Bush into the warmonger territory. I think he is more interested in strengthening the military because the best offense is a good defense. It's no secret our forces are spread so thin all over the world that it leaves us open for more terrorist activity.

And if I remember correctly, the last few military offensives came while Clinton was in so much hot water. If Gore gets into a jam over the illegal fundraising, I wonder what factories he will choose to bomb? You know Gore is the next best thing to Clinton. Ol' Bill said so himself. And you have to admit Gore's ego is much bigger than Bush's. This whole recount scenario speaks for itself.

njrazd, Apparently you have never followed any of KRSs links. My opinion of GW has been formed over many months of reading and listening. Also based on past history of his dad. [not on KRSs links]

eyeguy6,I think on the whole people on this board have done a wonderful job of getting along even through disagreement. We can't all think alike nor would we want to.

edited to add: I really like Bill Clinton and would vote for him again if he could run.
ALSO I do not have to admit that Gore has a bigger ego than Bush. You see I think for myself and I feel the opposite.

njrazd,

You'd probably offend GW by claiming that he's less egotistical than Al Gore. In his own words he refutes you:

"Actually,I--this may sound a little West Texan to you, but I like it. When I'm talking about--when I'm talking about myself, and when he's talking about myself, all of us are talking about me."
--Hardball, MSNBC, May 31, 2000

Not a warmonger?

"Uh, I support winning."
--George W. Bush takes a bold stand when asked for his position on U.S. involvement in Kosovo. He added: "And, uh, the strategy must
... America should engage military, and once we engage, we must do so to win."

Democrats erode freedoms you say, but GW only wants to limit them:

"There ought to be limits to freedom."
--George W. Bush sounds off after a 1999 hearing, in which his campaign urged the FCC to shut down a website that satirized Bush's presidential candidacy. If you like the Internet and the free and open communication that it offers, you probably won't like Bush.
(Quote is from a Bush statement soon after the 1999 FCC hearing)

The throwing out of 39% of the overseas military vote hasn't helped. (Dale county rejected 50% and Broward county rejected over 60%!) The suit to throw out 4,700 absentee ballots in a republican strong hold paints an ugly picture. "Every vote should count provided its a vote for Gore"

Then they voted along party lines for Dale county to do join in on the hand count circus. The hand counts are looking a bit ridiculous on tv (54% in a national poll feel machines should be used).

Gore deserves to be president, anyone that wants it THAT bad should have it. Bush should conceed.

"With ballots in 210 of the county's 609 precincts recounted, Gore had a net gain of 59 votes, county officials said." (Broward County)

If that ratio hold true for the remaining precints Gore would get 177 votes from Broward. If they can get a higher ratio from The Challenged Voter county, and Dale he'll get the votes he needs. If they could get more of the military votes discarded or the absentee votes thrown out in Seminole county it would be in the bag.

Come on Gore, I'm pulling for you sweetheart... I want to see that big smile on your face when you take the oath.

We just want every vote to be counted*

uaru-its looking like Vice President Gore will succeed, and win this, the way things are going.

Then we can call him Chairman Gore, ah I mean President Gore, and we will call each other comrades.... ah I mean citizens.

I'm going to watch CNN, ah I mean a movie!!

"By the time counting shut down for the night, recounts from 259 of 609 precincts in Broward County showed Gore with a gain of 79 votes, but totals from 31 of 531 precincts in Palm Beach County showed Bush with a gain of 12."

The head of the Palm Beach canvassing board said at the present rate they were going they'd be there till Christmas! Dale County will begin manual countings on Monday, they hope to be finished December 1st.

What a mess!
